January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

torres has made a mistake saying those things, surely his agent would've or should've advised him about stuff like that? i can see that q7 he owns getting torched within 24 hours

Not for a second suggesting we haven't been overshadowed. Another attempt from yourself to belittle us. Would have loved Torres at City, loved him. But are we kicking ourselves? Absolutely not. Just give it a rest :)
I would have chosen Dzeko tbh, he is world class as is Torres but i just think Dzeko is a more rounded player and a snip at £27m in this market.
but don't get me wrong i would have loved Torres.

We have done everything i wanted us to do eg Get rid of Bridge, RSC, Adebayor etc but i expected a few players to come in also as our team is quite thin now.
Who knows what Mancini has planned for the summer. I hope that Guidetti and Assulin can now step up if needed.

Weren't Liverpool fans on here going on and on about what a good guy Torres is only days ago, and how he was being harshly done by and deserves better.

Its STANDARD PRACTICE for just about every single player ever to say to the fans of their new club how much they love the club, have always loved the club, always will love the club and how its the biggest club in the world.

I wouldn't go getting upset over utterly standard public relations staged interviews, or do and be like the other 99% of gullible people in England.

What would you have said in his place,

"I didn't want to come here, the money was good, the fans suck, your stadium is pitiful, I'm off to Real when the contracts up because they'll offer me even more money but can't afford me now, that Russian mobster who steals the oil, shady dude, bit gay looking, but he gave me this contact with the wage details on it, and it had an extra fold out piece of paper stuck to it to accomdate all the extra 0's, so I said why not."

Surprised the amount of people wishing injuries on a player in here, regardless of what he has or hasn't said, that is pretty low.

Several players do deserve injury, mainly De Jong, and De Jong, but most of all De Jong.

The amount of loving Torres got from us fans and the stuff he came out with about us then giving that interview, sorry lads a classless merc from the sounds of things and his hammy can do one for all i care, roll on Carra at the weekend.

Obviously he couldn't come out with that, but the ****e he came out with was a pretty good dig at liverpool.

Mind you he looked a miserable ****er in that interview, reckon when he came out crying from the meeting with Kenny last night he was told, sorry lad your off if he changed his mind, who knows.

i know its not on the same level but this is what Tuncay wrote on his twitter after leaving stoke

"To all Stoke fans... Thanks for all the great support you've given in my time with you!! Special place in my heart..."

Exactly. The least you would've expected from someone who was worshiped by the Liverpool supporters was a thank you but he's not only stabbed Liverpool and the supporters in the back he's tried to humiliate us as well. Hope the **** rots.

Calm down!

I think he's just relieved to be out of Liverpool, as I'm sure most Liverpool fans would admit he deserves to be at a big club on the up, not one that is in (or was in until now) rapid decline.

I think what he said was just very badly worded, I dont think he was meaning to be horrible to you all :p

Wasn't he 'stabbed in the back' before this when he was told repeatedly of the club's ambition over the past two or three years and ended up repeated disappointment and no movement except downwards in the club's transfer policy and fortune?

And what exactly is inaccurate about what he said if you take 'big club' to mean 'club that can expect to place 4th or above in the league', which is a perfectly fair assessment?

Livermudlians love the 'H' word too much, it doesn't have as much influence with modern professionals as they'd like to think.
