January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Looks like Fulham might be close to signing Guillermo Ochoa - he's on a trial/training with us currently. Whether we need him is another story, unless it's to have two young(ish) GK's in the long term after next season, with Schwarzer turning 53.
 
Not really transfer news but Pacheco and Kelly have both recently signed new deals and Lucas has now been offered a new one. No idea how well he'll do in the transfer market but Comolli's doing a great job so far.
 
Excellent news. The guy took a lot of **** in his first couple of seasons but has come on leaps and bounds in the last 18 months and has become a very good player, and is only getting better.
 
more rumours about Utd going for Valencia's Joaquin - cant see it somehow, but I guess it all depends on how bad Valencia's injury is (supposed to be healing better than expected, ready for Feb but who knows)

Utd also lose Park for 7 games due to Asia Cup - so that might have something to do with it (although it seems strange to sign anyone for such a limited period of need) - Joaquin isnt exactly dream worthy (and given he's 29 I would have thought that made it an unlikely signing to start with

well exactly - but still a current rumour (as its been posted in the last few hours)

rumours dont have to have any truth to them after all (and rarely do in actual fact) :)
 
Apparently Wellington Silva's work permits have been rejected which means he may have to do a Carlos Vela and bugger of to Spain for 3 years. If that means we end up with another Carlos Vela then that's not good. Neither is the attempt to get him an exceptional talent exemption. I think they look at Denilson and see that we're probably trying to take the ****. :p
 
Yeah it came about last week, he seemed absolutely gutted on his Twitter :cool: and said that it was totally unexpected. It's a shame because he actually does look exceptionally talented, I suppose with competition for the national team being so high it's harder for him to get call ups to solidify his case

Benzema can **** off - yet another over rated French player. Would also raise the question of who else could play at LB?

Wouldn't mind Mertesaker though, fantastic player.
