January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Oh dear god, I go on holiday for two weeks and the footballing world has gone to pot. 35 mill for Caroll! dear god, in my eyes only that deal that barca did with Inter for ibrahimovic is more redonkulous!

Glad Torres left, but I hoped he would have gone abroad, I think he is an awesome awesome player but the PL will finish his career early, far too injury prone. He gave a season more than he had to tbh. Oh well, lil louis looks handy and caroll has talent so maybe it will work out or maybe its gonna be another collymore/diouf/ciise/morientes/kuyt/keane scenario, another saviour that isnt:(

To be fair, Morientes has finally started to play a little now that he is in his favoured position. Kuyt has never really been played in his preferred position, hence never fullfilling his potential, although I agree wholeheartedly with the other clowns you mentioned.

And yes, £35m was totally crazy money, but I too now appreciate that it was deadline day, and Newcastle knew we were about to have £50m disposable, hence the high price.

You never know, the kid could end up a complete nightmare, but he could also end up well worth his price tag. Time will tell...

Im on about the other Morientes, Fernando!

We generally dont do well with big name strikers, weve spunked some serious cash on em over the years. I think AC has enough about him to be a real good player, he's like a crouch who can head the ball and actually score goals lol!

Holloway is fast becoming the new Phil Brown for me.

He was very funny (and can still be) but now seems more of a bum.

Said he'd resign over the F.A. Charges of fielding a weaker side, didn't.
Said Adam is worth X more then was reported, due to him getting a cut of the fee.
Said Adam "loves" the club, when he took them to court previously because the club didn't pay him what he was owed, apparently annoyed he wasn't able to move.

He just comes across as a bit of a bum now.

I'm not sure.

I liked the guy, but he seemed really negative even in the home games. He'd only ever switch things towards the end of games and that was normally just throwing strikers on.

I do hope we get a much better manager in, but who?

Even as a mid table League One side, I wouldn't want Big Sam.

I'm not sure who I'd want, really don't have a clue.

I'm not looking forward to the Saturday game to be honest.

You'd hope there's somebody in mind already, Mandaric seems to know what he's doing in these situations, but a play-off place is pretty much essential so he needs to pull something out of the bag.

Gonna be Megson.

I hope whoever comes in gets us to play decent football, I couldn't face watching us play route one or long ball football.

He does, he was good at Leicester (friends spoke highly of him in regards for sorting a club out) so I'd hope he has a fairly good idea of what needs to be done.

I heard rumours about Ince a few weeks ago.

Inter win again, I think they've won as many games in the last month as in the first half of the season under Benitez, 6 a piece, they've gone from 13 points behind and AC having a game in hand, so effectively 16 points behind, to 7 points behind and Inter have a game in hand, so as little as 4 points behind.

They were, 7th I think when benitez got fired, they're 3rd now, 2 points off 2nd with a game in hand.

Was that the game V Palermo? (pink strip)

If it was they were awful, they got torn apart in the first half and Leonardo took the left back off at half time and Pazzini on, he scored 2 and they won 3-2 in the end with Eto'o getting a penalty.

They were awful in the first half and for most of the second, if that Inter team played like that against an English team they would be ripped to bits.
