It was reported the other day... Arsene confirmed it as well I think. I did post about it in the banter thread.

Any way... special offer this summer, Fellaini, Rodwell, Jags and Baines all on offer min. £20m each. Who's wants one?

Knowing Everton, it will be £20m for the lot.

Tevez's attitude couldn't be further from that of a Dalglish player.

As above, Tevez couldn't be further from the type of player that Dalglish wants at Liverpool

I don't think anybody could question Bellamy's commitment to Liverpool though. I don't think anybody could say the same about Tevez, regardless of who he joins.

What a difference a day makes :D

I'd have Tevez for a few months on loan.

Oh come on you were questioning his loyalty why on earth would you want a player like that even on the short term? :p

Because he could benefit Liverpool :)

Signing Tevez on loan wouldn't sit comfortably but I could live with it. What's the worst that could happen? You lose out on a couple of months wages and that's providing you didn't request a clause in his deal where by you could send him back.

I wouldn't mind us getting him on loan but I don't believe it's likely because of what I've said before.

edit: it wouldn't be too much different to when Houllier loaned Anelka. He was happy to take a punt on him for a few months and then bin him off in the summer. Again, I can't see it happening though.

Fair enough

Picking up on what aaron said Morrison does indeed look set for West Ham, conflicting reports over whether it's on loan or a permanent deal. Not a bad choice by the club to sell him there, Big Sam being one of Fergie's minions, West Ham not looking like being a direct threat in the foreseeable, no doubt some form of buy back will be inserted, win, win, win as far as I can see.

Will be very interesting to see how he fairs in the Championship, wonder if he'll be staying is Carroll's old room in the Nolan house hold? :p

I heard something yesterday about Dalglish trying to swap Carrol for Tevez which failed, and then an attempt of a swap deal for Demba Ba! :D

Anyone heard this, any truth in it or not?

The Mirror ran a story saying we were interested in Ba and that called into question Carroll's future, with the Carroll/Ba swap headline. And the Guardian reported we offered to swap Carroll for Tevez. Both stories have been denied by Liverpool and Mancini told his press-conference today that he knows nothing about the Carroll/Tevez story either.

Probably just the press stirring it up then.

Seems there is some sort of truth in the matter skysports are saying.

Wolves confirmed Liverpool tried to get their matched postponed due to the transfer window after saying they are doing no business :o

Daglish giving off stink also after saying they are not doing business lol and all transfers should be private.

Looking like a bit of a muppet now tbh after all the backing his giving Carrol

The bloke is an idiot that can't help himself with the press, pure and simple. Mancini said he knew nothing about the deal which gave Dalglish a perfect excuse to say it was nonsense, but instead he ends up fanning the flames of speculation and undermining Carroll even more. Fantastic.

looks like, as a wolves fan, I am in for a deadline day full of disappointment despite supporting a team in desperate need of some improvement! Mark Fotheringham being the most likely signing today :(

Yea Morrisons gone Ferguson didn't offer a new contract? If he becomes an outstanding player, I won't be happy and it will be just one of a long list of players mismanaged out of the club.
