January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

There's no way United will sell welbeck in the summer.

It doesn't matter if Henriquez has a blinding end of season at Wigan and scores 50 goals, or Rooney RVP and Hernandez keep firing, Welbeck is a Fergie favorite and as such will be at the club till one or the other retires. (Which ever comes soonest)

Like anyone would offer Welbeck 85k a week, you're stuck with him, if Fergie or the next guy decide he can leave, he almost certainly won't till his contract is done. Sit on the bench at Utd for 85k a week, or move to Reading or something for 30k a week till you get relegated and end up on 10k a week.... I somehow doubt he'd go for that.

Yeah, thats what i wanted to say. A one year extension :p:D

I've been telling my friends who side with United that Welback is below par for united, and he is pretty much frozen out. They keep on telling me he has a bright future there. Seems like I am right.

EDIT: M'Vila (Arsenal wanted him) has signed for Rubin Kazan for 12M.

This is the same Welbeck, who has started the Liverpool and Spurs games ahead on Rooney and Hernandez, but a player thats on his way out?? I dont think thats true.

I actually dont think he's quite good enough for Man United but hes well fancied by the coaching staff, and he holds the ball a lot better that Hernandez can, which is why he'll be playing if the rumours are true that Rooney is injured again.

.

That isnt strictly true as Rooney wasnt even available for the Liverpool game as he was still coming back from injury.

AS he only had 2-3 days training prior to the Spurs game, its not surprising a fully fit Welbeck started.

Unfortunately I dont believe Welbeck will be sold either, but he certainly isnt ahead of Rooney in importance. Personally dont think he is ahead of Chicharito either, but SAF appears to disagree

Welbeck was absolutely terrible against West Brom, his movement off the ball was very very poor seemed to get a bit bullied whether on the wing or through the middle, on top of that his finishing and final ball need a lot of work even when he’s playing well.

Is there any news on Nani? I know Fergie says he's got a future but its certainly not as a Premier League footballer, the raw that went up when he got taken off against West Ham was extraordinary, it got a bigger cheer than the goal.

So Zaha is to sign shortly, looking forward to United fans saying how they developed and produced him fromtheir own academy.

I think it's pretty common place to poach talented youngsters, Wiltshire and Shaw are the only young top talents playing regularly in the premier league I can think of that's come through the youth ranks of the clubs they are playing for excluding man utd, I know it was tongue on cheek but the point still stands:

Sterling
Bale
Ramsey
Walcott
Oxlaide-Chamberlin
Walker
Naughton

The list goes on of young players who've been poached from other teams. It's not just United who do it

I guess it depends on how long a player need to be at a club before you can call him your own. Kieran Gibbs has been at Arsenal for 9 years, but was at Wimbledon first. The same goes for Szczęsny whose been at AFC for 6 years. After all you could then argue Walcott was poached from Newbury or Swindon before Southampton ;)

To be fair I did say top talent... only kidding :p

I agree completely, its speculating on a player to become something very very special, I just hope he's got a decent head on his shoulders, and watches the likes of Valencia and Van Persie rather than Young and Nani, otherwise he'll spend half of his career on his arse

uncanny resemblance.

Apparently Wenger finished the after game press conference early yesterday to do some work in the transfer market. I wonder what we will end up with if anything.

£17 million? What? Just how is he worth that! I mean its not quite Andy Caroll mental but come on!

Also; Juve have agreed to sign llorente in the summer on a 4 and a half year deal, cracking buy will suit Conte's style of football. All the best to him / Juve.

Might as well be a tweet from a 12 year old :p

Others are quoting £10 + £5m on appearances/success
