tbf they haven't done great business, Samba? Meh (just replacing Nelson), Jenas? Massive Meh. Townsend? Is he there to do anything other than bolster the squad?

Best thing for QPR now would be to get Zamora fit

Clubs can have 50 players on their list of January targets. Unless your club has been chasing a target for 4 weeks you can rest assured that your signings tonight have been last minute panic signings and probably about the 10th choice player your club actually wanted.

Strange that Butland turned down Chelsea because he wants game time but then accepts Stoke's offer. I assume it can only mean that Stoke have told Butland that Begovic will be leaving in the summer and he'll become their number one.

Or he prefers his chances against Begovic better than Cech and Courtouis? (although the later wants to stay in Madrid, apparently)
