January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

So "he kept on playing for you right up untill he was sold" and he played one game, on August the 20th...... you were right were you? Bang on? No he didn't play right up until he left and the only time he played was when our team was extremely weakenend and the early transfer window looked like he was off, then City/Utd seemingly decided he wasn't worth 20mil + he played one game, then end of the transfer window he left.

Wenger spent the entire transfer window saying he would not sell Nasri at all, no way, yet played him in one game with basically no other options. He knew Fabregas was going from the end of the season, full stop. What Wenger says doesn't matter, he's a delusional idiot who constantly contradicts everything he says.

Then the rest of your argument plays into the "what persuasion he had a contract" rubbish that people spout when they want to pretend they don't live in the real world.

How many thousands of players have left while under contract.... as for persuading him to stay, yeah, he did, end of, Wenger said it, Fabregas said it, everyone said it. RVP was persuaded to stay rather than leave, Wenger's done the "just one more year, you'll see, we've gota real shot" speech to whoever is the most important player for 5+ years.

Managers talk crap, end of, someone said Modric's head wasn't in the right place, then he went on and had a great season. Managers make excuses constantly, and Tim Payton, I fail to see what he has to do with anything.

As with Modric where Levy apparently said "stay one more year and I'll let you go next year" is the same thing Wenger did with RVP, Fabregas, Henry, Vieira I believe. Fabregas didn't have to sign his previous contract, he could have simply left, leaving Arsenal with nothing. Instead we have a situation where he wanted to go and his two options are screwing Arsenal, leaving in 18 months on a free transfer, Arsenal get nothing, sign a contract, leave around the same time, Arsenal get a transfer fee.

A new contract can help the club just exactly as much as a player, this was the reason behind Modric signing a new contract as well.

I don't understand the Nasri hate. Yes, he went for more money, but he also went to a better side.

Yup, bitter Arsenal fans and anyone who doesn't like City wanted it to be purely about the money... fact is, I don't care if a player goes somewhere for money, I didn't think anything funny when anyone I know left their jobs for better jobs, not sure why anyone cares. He happened to go to a better team who also paid him more money.

Anyone stating he for a fact went for the money alone, or the chance of titles, or because he likes it up north, are guessing. Only Nasri knows, and most importantly, it doesn't matter either way, its a job, he had the option to go there, he took it, his reasons are irrelevant, unknown and not guessable by other people.

I was happy about it, vastly over rated, never worth 20+mil on his best day, great deal for Arsenal, if he gets stupid rich, who cares, its not like he was poor at Arsenal.

So are we actually going to sign anyone within the next 10 days or is this it? Our only attacker on the bench at Chelsea was Arshavin.

Theo was like a new signing, so was the even worse then before his last injury Diaby, and Rosicky's back soon...................

Desparately need a left back, need a right back, if we finish the transfer window with Santos still an Arsenal player I'm going to cry, I'll say its only a rumour but we supposedly turned down 2.5mil for him as it wasn't enough.

I'd like to buy a real out and out left winger and start playing Podolski upfront, but I can't see that happening tbh. Giroud, there are moments his interplay isn't bad, but Arsenal need someone top notch if we're going to get 4th, and I just don't think he has enough about him quality wise. Arteta isn't meant to be out for long so its a bit mental to sign a replacement for him, however selling Diaby and Rosicky and buying another central mid who can actually play football would be great. I still think Coquelin should get far more games than he does though, again though I can't see Wenger ever letting Coquelin into the first team, he's been better than Diaby for the past 4 years, yet barely gets a look in.

Who contradicts themselves?

As for the rest of your rubbish. Players can leave under-contract, that's not an issue providing it's with their clubs consent. Players don't have the right to leave while they're under contract though and certainly don't have the right to not play until they're sold though. As Tim Payton says, Fabregas' actions put you in a terrible bargaining position ultimately ended up with you receiving a fee that I don't believe for one minute Wenger would have accepted had Fabregas behaved properly. And what does Tim Payton have do to with anything - you claimed that you've not seen any Arsenal supporter say the things I mentioned in my first post. I know it's hard given the volume of crap you come out with but at least keep up with your own posts.

The Mirror are saying Zaha is signing for United for £15m...

HA! :D

The quick and English transfer requirement strikes again.

even if its £6m cash and rest as add-ons that is criminal, Zaha just isnt worth that (even without comparisons to Ince)

Yep. Zaha is pace and in theory potential, nothing more.

Ince has at least started to deliver on the potential...
