Sorry but point out where I said Newcastle had worse income than Everton or Spurs, or anyone else? we were talking about commercial value, nothing more or less. Newcastle have a HUGE stadium compared to Everton and Spurs... but don't mention that. Argue a point I didn't make which doesn't address commercial revenue... the ONLY thing we were discussing, and call me names because you are too stupid to understand what you're talking about.
Likewise I did NOT say Everton/Spurs commercial revenue was only down to european qualification, but being almost assured premier league status, sponsors don't want to sign a 15mil a year shirt deal with a team that may be in the championship next year. No club, NONE that gets promoted is an assured prem team after 3 seasons.
When was the last time Everton were relegated, when was the last time Newcastle finished top 4, when was the last time they finished top 7 consistently. It's a combination of these factors.
Newcastle have higher gate receipts than Everton, and similar tv money, less commercial due to their position.
Again I'll ask a simple question, do you think Cashley/Lambias went out of their way to refuse higher profit deals and take the Wonga lower offer? Or did they take the best deal they could get at the time?
Once again it's Newcastle fans claiming loads is being taken out of the club, despite it being a marginal and not profitable sector of advertising, with the most profitable commercial income, shirt/kit, both being under relatively normal value deals for teams in their position. You're comparing Newcastle, promotion, good season, relegation scrap, currently okay season, to Everton/Spurs........ while another Newcastle fan accuses me of presuming all Newcastle fans think they deserve to be fighting for european places.....
Once again you've failed to talk about the hundreds of millions put into the club by cashley, the marginal profits and come up with some BS 40mil number based on a fantasy comparison.
English tv money means pretty much everyone in the EPL massively outranks(except the top 4) their big 5 league counterparts.
Spurs tv money vs say Villarreal/Sociedad, it's a joke. But again, we were not talking about overall income, in which both tv money bumps everyone up, and Newcastles what, very close to 40% higher average attendance also bumps up their income.
Neither of which have any bearing on the ONLY thing we were talking about, commercial.
Should we talk about BS, no1newts claimed Liverpool had around 64mil commercial income, Spurs were on 58mil. Deloitte say LIverpool made near enough 100mil and Spurs made 44mil, which was up over 3mil on the year before.
Also why are we comparing Newcastle's european league exploits since 2000? You know which sponsors care about how well you were doing in 2000-2005... not a single one of them in the slightest.
But I do get it, don't like the argument in which you have zero answers, unadulterated hate for the owner, no way to logically talk about the 5-10mil in "free" advertising... that no one else would actually pay for, vs the coming up towards 300mil he's ploughed into the team to keep it afloat after taking on a massively in debt team.... change the argument. Pretend Newcastle should be making 40mil a year in commercial, at odds with the rest of the league or any team in a similar position, pretend you were talking about overall income the whole time and how Newcastle are in the top 20 in the league money wise....... and ignore that you're complaining about Newcastle's financial position while using the new argument that you are one of the strongest teams in europe financially... okay.
English teams bring in far more than their european equivalents(barring the top 6-7 teams), but they also pay out way way more in wages. Sociedad came 4th in la liga, and spent £40mil in total last year, meaning less than that just on wages. Everton have a wage bill north of 60mil.
