*January Transfer Window 2014/15 Season Rumours/Signings*

Unless something happens at Madrid to make Ronaldo want to leave, then he's going nowhere. And by that I mean an actual problem, not a few stories about being 'sad' before contract negotiations.

RonaldOFF and other than paper talk there is absolutely nothing to suggest otherwise. It's boring to see the same nonsense regurgitated over and over. Repeat something enough and it somehow becomes plausible?

Usually resist posting. Transfer threads always wind me up, wasn't directed at you specifically.

Arsenal fans to say that he wasn't good enough anyway. You heard it here first.

Most have been critical about him, he's been anonymous for 90% of the time. Still, it's partially Wenger's fault spending 42m and then playing him out of position.

Yeah, I'll be spitting my dummy out and saying that now in reaction to him saying he wants to leave(if he did)..... I said he wasn't good enough when it was clear Real were pushing him out of the door before Arsenal signed him, I said he wasn't good enough when we signed him and I'm still saying it.

He has a major attitude problem, believes he's brilliant and has no higher level to find, believes how he's playing now is more than good enough.... then seems surprised when people question his performances.

30million is a large loss, but still more than he's worth and we should take it. He'll do better at a team like Bayern, not because he'll be better, but other better players doing more of the work and leaving him more space and basically making up for his lack of work rate will leave him in a better position.

But it's okay, we don't need Fabregas, we bought the assist monster of Europe. 9 assists last year, Fabregas has 7 already :(

Just to add in, he's not played out of position in any sense of the word. a DM whose strengths are marking, tackling, strength but is weak at crossing, passing, shooting, putting him on the wing and asking him to attack is playing him out of position.

Putting Ozil in centrally or out wide, to do the same job in the same way and take up for 90% of the game the same positions is simply not being played out of position. When played out wide, something that has happened throughout his career and he himself bangs on about how good he was in the world cup... where he played out wide. He doesn't ever work the wing, he does run up the line beating players. He comes inside, stands around outside the box waiting for everyone else to do the work.

He's poor centrally and poor when he's played as the worlds most narrow wide player. I even have to give Wenger some credit here(/throws up a little bit), it looks like he's pushing him wide more recently against stronger opposition because of how awful Ozil has been centrally for so long. In the middle he's more likely to be harassed by a stronger DM or CB's who rush out than if he's a little wider and is fighting with usually less physical fullbacks/wingers.

The 42mil was a massive massive overspend on a player worth half that at best. But in some cases where you might say the price tag put too much pressure on some kid, you just have to hear what Ozil says about himself and how brilliant he is and has nothing to prove, doesn't need to improve at all. In that sense the 42mil isn't weighing on his shoulders, just purely Wenger drastically over estimating the player.

Extremely frustrating as if anyone watched 3 years of Real Madrid Ozil played like this the entire 3 years, inconsistent, strength of a 4 year old girl, didn't improve in the slightest in his time there, he stopped developing, stopped trying and wasn't nearly good enough to be worth that much.

Vidal to RM seems like its picking up some steam.

Real Madrid plot Khedira-Vidal swap

Real Madrid are keen on signing Arturo Vidal, who is also wanted by Manchester United, and are ready to offer Sami Khedira in exchange for the Juventus midfielder. Khedira is out of contract in the summer and risks leaving on a free.

It would seem a little silly to swap a midfielder worth ~£40m for one that would worth absolutely nothing come the end of the year.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club.

Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.

We should get him in as backup for Dave. :p

Higgy playing in the prem is picking up. Always been a fan of him and he would fit right into the style of play in England. No idea why RM sold him. Someone tell me.

Higuian is a top forward and great finisher. Wasn't his nose being pushed out at Madrid, basically him or Benzema fighting for the number 9 shirt ?
