Keita will be a massive upgrade on Can.
Hopefully, not that fussed if Can is going, very rarely he is a boss but more often not that good.

We need two for sure, not just to replace Coutinho but Can is off aswell in the summer. I get Keita is coming in but i think we are very short in cm. Id like an out and out striker myself, i expect Sturridge to leave and Ings and Solanke (not yet anyway) arent up to Liverpool standard.
In terms of where he's likely to play, Keita will be closer to a replacement to Coutinho in midfield than Can. A lot of people are going to be surprised when Keita signs and he's not or at least doesn't play as our deepest midfielder.Keita will be a massive upgrade on Can.
The only logical reason I can think of is Barca don't want this dragging on into the summer and World Cup - if Coutinho keeps playing as he has and lights up the World Cup too then there's a big possibility of PSG (which has already been mooted) or Real coming into the mix and they either miss out on him or it costs them even more. Why now though (Coutinho)? Summer is hardly a long way away, seems slightly detrimental to replace him half way through (as a Utd fan however, I welcome this ).
Well, no. The day they sign him they pay £15m but he instantly becomes worth substantially more. Easily double.
I know what you mean but serious - how?? How is Barkley a £30 million player - he's unfit, doesn't actually have a proper position, has no pace to speak of.....
Ahhh - that's right - he's "young, english talent" - that's why......
He backed Everton in a corner but himself? 12-18 months ago Barkley is only leaving Everton for £50m+ which no club was realistically going to bid for him as he'd never, consistently anyway, performed to the level he could/should. By running his contract down he forced Everton to be more realistic with their asking price last summer and his injury delaying things cost Everton another £15-20m too. Barkley's got his opportunity to move to a top side, going to get a big contract and even if Chelsea do move him on in 18 months time, he'll still end up at a club around Everton's level anyway. It's not just Chelsea that have been chasing him either - by all accounts Spurs were very much interested in him too. He's backed himself and everton into a corner with his lack of fitness this year. No one wants him and he now has to join a club he didn't want because he thinks he's United or City quality and he isn't. He should just sign a deal at Everton prove himself and move on. I imagine Chelsea don't want him much either but figure to move him on after a year.
Joe Cole IIWell he's a different type of attacking mid which differs from Bakayoko, Kante, Fabregas and Drinkwater. He will have great players around him this time so can't really fail if he plays...thats a big if though.
Be happy with both, even if we just got mahrez now and Lemar in summer. Mahrez would have helped last night in regards to creativity.I don't speak French but according to twitter L'Équipe are reporting that we've opened talks for Mahrez and that Monaco realise Lemar's value is at it's highest now and could be open to selling. Get them both in I say.
