How much do you believe he is worth? The reported bid is about 50 mil which is about right imo.

no one else is after him, hes 29 and by all accounts his attitude is questionable.

How do people not get this?! Look at it the other way round.

Arsenal offer £57m, Dortmund say they want £62m. FFS Arsenal, just offer what they want!
Arsenal offer £62m, Dortmund say they want £67m.

Clubs and agents will always use the media to try and get a better deal.

I get it's frustrating as an Arsenal fan, but it's no where near as simple as saying that another few million is all that it would take to secure deals like these.
 
Benzema would be such an underwhelming purchase and around 5 years too late for Arsenal. He's 30, his pace has deteriorated drastically and he isn't going to play as 2 with Lacazette. It's probably a BS rumour anyway.

I'm starting to wonder if the ongoing PEA saga is something of a smokescreen, with the deal already agreed in principle but not going to be confirmed until Dortmund have a replacement lined up

A lot of people actually think that. It also might have something to do with the clubs shares and the court case next week.

With Fellaini probably leaving and Carrick retiring , those links NEED to be true, we need at least two more CM 's / Box to box type players let alone anywhere else like right full back & right winger /forward
The worrying thing is JM's recent comments about "if we get one transfer in in Jan then we only do 2 in the summer" - I know that's not an exact quote, and he could have been talking figuratively rather than exactly - especially true when considering oranges lol - but I suspect it will be too close to the truth.....unless Real /PSG offer an obscene amount for De Gea and we don't have to spend all of it on the replacement (and while he is a decent no 2 and got much better in the last season or so Romero is nowhere near No 1 standards).
Would love to get Fabinho who could cover CM and right full back while he grows in experience and nails down one position.
 
What’s the point, even if he does well at Madrid he would get sacked inside of 2 years. It’s not like he would ever be able to build a dynasty. They have had 14 managers in 17 years, it’s an utterly pointless job.

Doesn’t look likely, there’s what?? 4 days left?? And it seems we are nowhere close to finalising the deal.
