January Transfer Window 2017/18

Özil’s contract is worth £60m. He’s now in his absolute prime for a creative midfielder and is without doubt one of the worlds best in his particular role. Tell me where you could buy a player of Ozils ability in his prime for £60m? Can’t do it these days. I dread to think what he would be worth now if he was still at Real, popping in assists for Benzema and Ronaldo left, right and centre.

While I rate him, he often goes missing and doesn't affect games as he should. I tend to put that down to the rest of the Arsenal midfield being pretty poor though to be fair.

That's how I see it. I think people expect things from him sometimes that just aren't his game. He will create chances all day. He doesn't control games, and he won't track back and win the ball, effectively anyway. But with Aubameyangs record, it wouldn't surprise me to see Ozil now go onto flourish.

I do also think Wilshere is making a difference. He plays at a higher pace and with more intensity than the other Arsenal midfielders.

You're talking about the whole Arsenal squad there, they all have the ability to be completely and utterly invisible when things get tough.

Being reported that Olivier Giroud’s move to Chelsea on an 18 month contract is now complete.
That hurts tbh

Sanchez i couldntcare lessbut to seegiroud in blue will hurt

Hes beena brilliant servant to arsenaland always been vastly underrated imo

That would be disappointing if true. He's an excellent plan B to come off the bench and change the focus of the attack, particularly against teams who sit back to deny space

I'm not seeing a fee for Giroud being mentioned anywhere. Could that mean there's some chance of us getting Luiz from them in a swap deal?

A decent DM who also provides cover at CB would be the icing on the PEA shaped cake

Giroud to Chelsea confirmed for £17.5m

considering all the other players to have left this window, does that mean Arsenal have yet again managed to make a profit on transfers, despite making PEA our record signing?
