Lingard looking more reasonable.

2million fee, wages, and 5mill if we stay up. Almost half of what we were quoted the first time.

One to watch tomorrow.

He's coming home. Born in Northumberland and family still live there. I worked with his mother in a school for a few years and he came and gave a talk to the kids. He was very down to earth then (he was at Wigan at the time), though looks even taller in person given his lankiness.

Deceptively quick for a big man and obviously his size is a plus in both boxes (though should score more), but against top forwards his size and agility can be an issue. Not sure he's the type of player Newcastle fans expected, but he's been consistent and very effective when I've seen him this season. Decent signing if they stay up and he'll stick with them for a season or two if h they go down.



Very pleased to see we've got Diaz.

Greenwood
Van de Beek
Lingard
Jones
Amad

Not exactly critical first team players (Greenwood aside), but considering our squad isn't exactly well balanced to start with, we're not going to sign anyone? Really?

Seems unwise.

Ousmane Dembele would just be another Martial, but seriously injury prone too. Would be a potential nightmare.

Zakaria looked a good bet, but he's going to Juve.

Utd board have apparently refused to buy Haidara who Rangnick wanted (£33m).

Dembele would be such the wrong move for United. They are trying to get away from that type of player surely.
