Joe Rogan and Spotify

I listen to on YouTube, a Black American conservative guy, ex cop, Tatum i think his name is, Very god fearing American, very honest and he will call black people that act like thugs or idiots "n words" because it describes the kind of person they are... Its almost like we say Chav. Well i dunno if chav is even a word in the UK no more. But when i think of chav i get a very white council estate boy in my head..... When he calls them an N word it describes a very stereotypical set of behaviour and complete disrespect for society.
Reminds me of this clip from Boondocks

Hmm I'm not sure I'd go that far. Clearly he doesn't always think before he speaks, the planet of the apes clip clearly shows this. Though I don't agree with just putting a video together of him using that word and using it to pressure spotify.
The planet of the apes comments was definitely clumsy for sure ill grant that. Stupid thing to say really, though I don't think it formed part of the compilation I'm referring to.

He also deleted the entire podcast right after it happened, it was clearly a bad thing to say and there's no excusing it except that he clearly misspoke, the guy has on so many black people and is friends with so many, these racist witch hunts are just insane

It's not me making a stupid argument. The guy makes one mistake YEARS ago and you make out like he has a problem thinking before he speaks. No, Klink, he just made a mistake. He's human. So if you're anything less than damn perfect yourself then judging him now just makes you a massive hypocrite.

Yeah I'm sure he deleted it because of the huge backlash that came his way. No one is calling him a white supremacist so there is no need for the "I've got black mates" line.

I'm trying to find a longer clip of when he had Chuck C Johnson on who made a ridiculous claim that black people have a gene that makes them more violent, I want to see if Joe called him out on it.

I think Rogan needs to decide what he wants to do.

Because his show as been made famous for chilling and chatting with friends. When we're with friends people are going to say stuff we wouldn't say to regular people. The whole banter thing us Brits do is a perfect example of how we verbally jab at each other.

But in a professional setting in this climate it isn't a normal situation. So even if Spotify agreed for him to keep it in the original format there were always going to be situations like this that would happen.

It would be interesting to see the deal he's got with Spotify because he's been here before claiming they were going to leave his material untouched and then soon after he signed for them they were deleting his podcasts.

Just because it's offensive, doesn't mean it's not true. It's a sad fact that black violent crime rates are much higher than white.

No it's an old podcast that was deleted right after, someone literally went looking to take a clip from an old podcast that was deleted, didn't you watch Joe explain that in the video he posted?

Except

"I didn't tell him anything, except that I needed the money"

Just because it's offensive, doesn't mean it's not true. ....
the general public is just learning there's a white young male demographic feeding exclusively on this kind of echo chamber diet -
it might have been good for spotify share price, but, is this good for society;
no whistleblowers or resignations from spotify yet - the facebook whistleblower who appeared at congress/uk-committee definitely shone sunlight on the issue.

On the similar netflix/carr racism issue, UK authorities are seen as so impotent to sanction a Netherlands/eu company - at the limit,
surely they just tell IP companies/providers not to route netflix packets (use a vpn tunnel if you want)

On the similar netflix/carr racism issue,

When I first heard this last year I must have interpreted it wrong.
I come from an history of Irish Travelers, no idea if they were ever Gypsies, but I took his 'joke' has nobody cares about the slaughter of Gypsies because of the drip fed feed of them over the years.
Like I say, everybody else seems to be hearing something else so I'm not going to argue about it.
