I really liked him then a few years back he did turn more religious in his musings.
He started to draw his talks and "lessons" and associations of morality directly from the Bible. I guess he turned more to it when he went through a low point.
Its basically all that Christianity has left going forward, a reasonable set of guidelines to make you more of a palatable citizen of Western society.
Yeah he deffo went more gung-ho after his 12 more rules for life. I remember his mental state went south and he openly talked how his physical health was borderline messed up too. He basically burned himself out "touring" and being thrust into the media spotlight.
Religion is still the one thing that will kill any conversation for me. Especially those that quote it as factual, however he's probably one of the only people that I can tolerate talking about it because the uses it well. Pretty much everything he says is true. He is intelligent, well read but I do fear he's gonna push the conservative Christian diatribe way too far.
