my dad suffers terminal stomach, lung, neck, adrenal cancer, it took a few weeks for the shock to settle in, he was diagnosed in august 09 as inoperable and termnal, they called it metastatic , they told him to enjoy his wedding anniversary ( nov 22nd, day after my birthday) and that anything beyond that was a bonus... its december 10 now and hes still fighting strong, tumours have shrunk now by around 40-50% around his body except the adrenal glands, stomacj, lung and neck tumours have calcified, what ever that means. lost so much weight, but hes due to go for a major op to remove his adrenal glands on the 14th, so this could be lifechanging, i understand what your going through op, so if you ever need to talk, im here pal.

Shes off for a CAT scan with dye (contrast agent) via intravenous in a bit, to see how far the tumor has progressed in her larynx.

Been through a very similar experience with my mum, got the phone call on the last two days of my skiing trip, was horrible. All best to your mum and family.

Words cannot express how you must be feeling right now. I'm really sorry that it's happened, and hope that you have the strength to get through this.
