I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that there is oil money among their funders. It's hard to think of a more effective way of undermining support for action on climate change than the actions of these numpties.

Wouldn't surprise. They certainly had a lot to do with the public aversion to nuclear power.

Well I’d happily accept the argument that they ‘shouldn’t’ but they ‘should’ because of ‘people’.

I shouldn’t have to lock my front door but people.

I should be able to leave my phone on a park bench and come back to it a week later but people.

As ever the minority spoil it for the majority and if you have priceless paintings what’s a few minutes wait while they pass you through a metal detector.

But yes it’s a real shame they would have to.

Private security in the UK are basically uniformed receptionists, with pretty much the same authority. If someone pushes their way past them, all they can do is phone the police and wait.
