Unfortunately a lot of these groups lack an ounce of common-sense and would rather carry on doing these short term exposure stunts for the media, that do very little and ultimately pee off the public, instead of actually carrying out properly thought-out protests that get the public on their side to help them take the fight to the government(s).
The only real achievement Just Stop Oil have done is score a home goal by helping to push the Public Order Bill through
Which is why the cynic in me thinks there might be lot more to these groups than just environmentalists protesting to save the planet.

Nah, they are just enjoying the media exposure and the feeling of being in the right. Which they are... but most people just think they are dickheads who are not doing anything to actually further their cause.
******* off the working public isn't going to help. People are doing what they can in many cases and cannot afford to do much more. If they want change they need to be affecting the big boys.

It won't make any difference. They don't consider themselves responsible for the consequences of their own actions because they consider themselves righteous beyond measure and that excuses everything. Besides, their intent is to cause harm to people. Death right away is probably more immediate harm than most of them intend, but their main concern would be about their own reputation and how immediate and obvious deaths might reduce their power. Their desired course of action would kill many people, so they're hardly going to be bothered about a few more deaths. It's only an image problem to them.
If only the protesters got run over rather than an innocent person.

I'm not sure if you're trying to justify the actions of the vermin that clog up our roads, but I fully support things like the Dutch cyling around the private jets. Unless its my private jet ofc, in which case I'll be having protestor soup for dinner.
