"Just stop oil"

Another self-indulgent eco terrorist preventing people getting on with their lives and causing economic damage. Enough is enough.

Change the law to use proper force (anything goes) to remove this scum, then into a 24 hour court to fast track offenders, followed by a spell locked up.

The problem is that sooner or later they're going to push the wrong person slightly too far and it's going to end horribly. I wonder if the gov will be able to stop trying to knife each other in the back long enough to pay attention then?

Can't tell if she has great teeth or not. They look great. But I'm not sure.
Just do not touch sugar or all the other hidden names for sugar , process foods and you should have nice teeth.

Brush your teeth before breakfast and before going to bed, wait an hour after eating to brush teeth, rinse then floss once at night, then risns again brush your teeth.

Can you teach us how to walk too pls

They are not saying stop all oil now. They are saying no new exploration/drilling, as far as I understand it.

But you cannot stop that if the population is growing at a crazy rate. Oil is the black gold. It is the most valuable thing in the world. We cannot just stop using it.

Climate change is real and it's happening but we have gone past the point of no return imo.

Unless we start culling the population and putting a 1 child policy but this means nothing in our society as Europe has plateaued. It's the third world countries that need the help.

Given this government's inability to deal with the stream of migrants coming across the channel I can't see them doing any to change their approach to the eco terrorists we have at present. The back-stabbing will continue until we have an election. Maybe then we'll see some positive action against these people.

You be amazed how many people don’t know that

Like give then free money and food that has done a lot of damage.

Personally I’d leave them alone, they keep making the same mistakes.

As I said if I were driving and was right at the front. If I could I would try and turn my car around and locate the car exhaust as close as possible to their face.
Oh btw I am sure if she fell off she would not say no to an ambulance that’s uses fuel.

Ok Mr Big keep your panties on, no need to get so upset that you have to go all Dictator and long for us to turn into North Korea or Russia.

Jeez.
What I'm suggesting isn't too dissimilar with how the 2011 rioters were dealt with. That didn't turn us into a dictatorship and neither would this. I'm all for peaceful protest but there comes a point when the actions of a protester become more like terrorism then valid protest. At this point these actions have to be dealt with appropriately.

Lol now with electric cars it even worse in the long run. More waste of resources.
source for this please because everything i have seen shows its nonsense. Batteries last longer than the life of the car and will have a decent second life as home storage.
the car isself (once people involved in sorting the infrastructure out pull their fingers out) will act as storage and suppply for high and low demand

and once the battery is finally end of life the precious metals etc can be salvaged from them. (unlike in oil refining where the cobalt is lost for instance)

We do need oil, at least until energy is so plentiful that we can use it to create products which come from oil another way. (bacteria combined with a lot of energy iirc but i do not know the science behind it).... so sure we need oil but i do not believe we should be burning it....... (and yes i still have a diesel car....... but in a way its already done the most polluting part of its existence. it is made now....... but i truly hope i never buy a fossil burner again........

the envionmental terrorists / warriors .. i accept in general their hearts are in the right place but their methods suck. they are not going to get people onside by closing motorways etc. I do understand however that it is difficult to get people to take note so sympathise they are in a tough spot.

OTOH it is also true that we cant stop using oil over night and besides as much as i want the uk to be carbon neutral asap, the fact is it will make naff all difference unless the countries which are far worse than us dont also do their bit. in general the uk is doing pretty good (could do better for sure).

NIMBY morons need to be ignored and we need to go big on onshore wind, and even bigger on offshore wind and tidal...........

My view is everyone who can afford to do their bit should, for me that involved solar and storage and when i can afford i will get an electric car - which will be charged off peak, and the moment i can use it to supply the grid on peak i will also set that up. .............. not everyone can afford to do that but if those who can do, then it will bring the costs down for all so that less well off people can do it too.

is this enough? i dunno, but backed up by nuclear i do not see why not, in a way it is easier for us as we are an island with lots of tidal flow and wind, but it certainly wont be enough if other contries dont also clean up their acts.... I do believe the technology exists which does make it all the more frustrating.

I dont wish harm on the climate protesters, but they do need to be stopped.

Rishi Sunak last night paved the way for Britain to pay reparations to countries most impacted by climate change. The Prime Minister gave his approval for the matter to be one of the issues discussed at the COP27 summit in Egypt this week.

All developed countries should help.... it is unfair i suppose now we have had our industrial revolution to judge those who are just getting theirs now...... so as long as that money goes directly into modern cleaner infrastructure and not into corrupt peoples back pockets or into other areas not invloved in clean living then i am ok with some of my tax going abroad.

the envoronment changing will affect us all so its an all or nothing scenario really.

From the mining of materials like lithium to the conversion process, improper processing and disposal of batteries lead to contamination of the air, soil, and water. Also, the toxic nature of batteries poses a direct threat to aquatic organisms and human health as well.

You think electric cars do not damage the environment?

where do you store radioactive waste? It takes 1000s years to break down, if it leaks into the soil we have a bigger problem.

What about all the digital item we have and the type of energy it uses. We live in a digital world our economy linked to the digital world, very much linked to energy.

From the mining of materials like lithium to the conversion process, improper processing and disposal of batteries lead to contamination of the air, soil, and water. Also, the toxic nature of batteries poses a direct threat to aquatic organisms and human health as well.

Wait so we had ours , now we pay them to have theirs, who paid us.

Your taxes will rise to pay for this, were do you think the money will come from?

These 3rd world countries are opportunistic, they had the option to reject our industry they choose not to.

Also 3rd countries have indirectly benefits from our Industrial Revolution.

Force one child policy on the entire plant. That should cut pollution by 50% over one generation.

where did i say that?
over the lifetime of the vehicle i believe an electric vehicle on balance is better than a fossil one however, esp as battery technology is, and will improve far faster than combustion engine effienciency... add to that that unlike an ice car, an electric car can also load balance the grid..... its essentially electicity storage on 4 wheels.

i also agree with you on nuclear. it isnt a long term solution - although that said Thorium looks promising as a better nuclear fuel.... but for now i see nuclear as a nessesary evil. maybe one day fusion will become a thing .. but that has been on the horizon since i was a boy, and it is still on the horizon now, so its not like we can wait for it.
