Also support the aims of just stop oil, which is to stop new drilling. I also agree with direct action. However, I do think they need a PR overhaul as they should be getting the people onside.
However, throwing some soup over a painting protected with glass isn’t much of an issue to me.
Sitting in the street is also fine. People can go around. There are plenty of processions that block streets, this is no different.

Those who get so outraged should direct their rage to those who aren’t doing anything to solve the problem. Namely government.

There probably is man influenced climate change but unless serious steps are taken to reduce the world population and stop migration to developed countries anything else is a waste of time.

I'll make no effort to reduce my "carbon footprint" whilst we watch our population grow by 1000 a day, from outside the UK alone and we send aid to already grossly overpopulated regions.

As for the hammiest performance I have seen in some years, Parliament aside, that dippy bint on the gantry just needs a good spell in solitary on short rations. Silly little amateur attention whore.

The hole was caused by releasing chemicals which catalysed the destruction of ozone into the atmosphere as pollution.

The ozone layer is gradually recovering thanks to international agreements which have severely limited the use of those chemicals.

There are of course conspiracy theories that it was all made up, but then this is 2022 so of course there are.

Chlorofluorocarbons were widely used in aerosol sprays and fridge heat exchange fluids until it was realised they damage the ozone layer. Sunlight releases the chlorine from the CFCs and the chlorine reacts with ozone to give chlorine monoxide and oxygen. As Auk said, we have largely stopped using them and the ozone layer is replenishing again.

Edit: Thomas Midgley Jr invented CFCs but that wasn't his only enviro disaster. He also developed tetraethyl lead as an anti-knock agent for petrol cars. This, of course, caused lead to be distributed widely in big cities, another disaster. What a guy!

Lock them up, give the criminal records.
They are unable to understand change takes time and is slow as our economy has been built this way.

I guess they all go to large shops to buy food or clothes how do they think products get to the shop.

If they are so against it why are they wearing plastic high viz jackets, have mobile phones etc.

Stop oil over night the whole system collapses. You will lose your job, you will be unable to feed yourself , you will not be able to get medical help etc.

It can not be done over night or in a year or two, we are looking at decades.

Lol now with electric cars it even worse in the long run. More waste of resources.

They are not saying stop all oil now. They are saying no new exploration/drilling, as far as I understand it.
