Kevin Space Invader

I remember going to boy scouts when I was a kid. I had a couple of friends who went and pestered me to join.

I didn't really enjoy it. I didn't like being corrected when tying a perfectly adequate knot. I wasn't comfortable with the scout master sitting us on his knee for "personal time".

Turned out he was later charged with sexual assault. I didn't realize at the time that he was that way inclined, I just wasn't comfortable being 10 years old and sitting on a strange man's knee.

Quite like Kevin Spacey - I think he's a great actor and has done some excellent work during his career. Be a shame if these the allegation are proved true because it would probably destroy his career. That said, allegations are sometimes all it takes.

This is a terribly ignorant and archaic viewpoint. A lot of victims of rape and sexual assault don't immediately report it because they feel shame, or they feel they won't be believed (as is clearly often the case), or they don't want to put themselves through the subsequent police and legal processes and want to try to "move on".

So imagine someone on Twitter accuses you of touching them up 20 years ago are you happy with all of your friends and family thinking you're a pervert even though you're innocent? I'm not calling all reports lies just saying it's open to abuse if all guilt requires today is a 2 paragraph accusation on Facebook.

It wasn't long back that a woman got convicted of lying about being raped by 10 different men over a period of a few years, the judge basically said she enjoyed being a victim.

From the wording of his statement it doesn't sound like he hasn't done anything - but sounds like its been blown out of proportion unless more come forward.

I think where Kevin Spacey is concerned, especially in America, homosexuality at that time was simply not socially acceptable. So if you were a gay man then something like age of consent is not really an issue as you're already engaging in an activity that could cost you your career anyway.

Anyone else seen this film documentary on vimeo?. Concerning how this subject has been kept silenced for all this time.

An Open Secret

In light of the long awaited revelations of sexual abuse in Hollywood finally being reported ESPONDA PRODUCTIONS presents AN OPEN SECRET for free for a limited time . A film about the sexual abuse of children in the entertainment industry in Hollywood.

Lol yeah I think that's a given. It's odd he's 'chosen' to life life as a gay man (like when I chose to be heterosexual :p) only when he's accused to being inappropriate with a 14 year old boy. Helping quash several stereotypes in one tweet.

What does that have to do with what I said? A false accusation can be damaging whether it was 20 years ago or last week. An allegation from 20 years ago should not be dismissed as false by default under the absurd assumption that if it really happened, they'd have reported it at the time.

Maybe bi - someone I went to school with had several girlfriends but it wasn't much of a secret he was "experimenting" - ended up in a committed relationship with another man for years then ended up with a string of relationships with both sexes - sadly committed suicide a few years back for unknown reasons but thought to be due to breaking up with the guy he was in a long term relationship with.

What baffles me is how people are shocked that those with power abuse it, it happens in all walks of life across all industries, it's about time it was dealt with, and if that means throwing the book at several prominent figures then so be it.

Does that make it right? Milo was talking about "consensual" sex (even though he was talking about 13 year olds!)

This actor was 14 and did not want sexual advances from a man.

of course not, where on earth did you get the idea that that made it right?

Could you really not find someone slightly more credible to cite than a "controversial internet personality"?!

what makes you think he's not credible with regards to this particular subject?
