***kickstarter***

Anyone know if there is a site where you can list/store the Kickstarter things you find so they can be viewed by others?

Kind of like a 'curator' site. You can star things, but even your friends can't see those and they can't be shared on your public profile, only what you've backed.

I'm looking for an easier way to follow what other people might find or share what I find with others instead of just copy and pasting links on forums.

i backed this - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1227115988/neeo-the-thinking-remote

love the look of it and if it works as well as it looks like it will, result

Responding to your post in the other thread.

They never stick to the time scale. Expect it to be anything upto over 1year late.
Don't treat it as a shop purchase. It is a risk. You are backing the company and the reward is a gift you have no legal protection.
Always follow the project throughout the funding campaign and revoke your pledge of you see any issues.

My headbones should be turning up in the next week or so.

I was considering this but have a big LightwaveRF setup at home. This doesn't have LightwaveRF compatibility so I will have to give it a miss unfortunately.

I thought that was being added?

Edit.

Just looked again
We don't support them out of the box. Since it is a feature that is being requested a lot, we will consider supporting a bridge device (WiFi to RF or similar).

Just had this response from them

Lightroom RF is not supported at the moment. We will add systems and devices based on the feedback from the community via uservoice. The more votes, the higher the priority on our roadmap!

Funding is about complete on the NEEO. Excited to see what develops now. They have released new features due to the massive response to the kickstarter funding.

Just hope adding features doesn't delay my delivery past may!!

Jumped the shark

In what could be the most bizarre Kickstarter campaign in memory, a US entrepreneur is attempting to raise $70,000 to launch a strap on booze-filled newborn that you can drink from.

Described as an “expressive, customizable, hands-free beverage insulator that looks like a baby”, the “Cool Baby” makes drinking in public “adorable”, according to its inventor, Brooklyn-based Simon Philion.

While there is a market for objects that conceal alcohol, this has to be one of the strangest of disguises.

Announcing the project on his Kickstarter page, Philion said: “Dress it up to look like you, like someone else, like a part of a costume, like a fan of your team. Use it to get a seat on the subway, strike up a conversation, or mock a biological baby. Whatever you do with it, The Cool Baby is a fun, expressive, hands-free beverage insulator for a wide variety of occasions.”

The semi-realistic baby can be pulled apart and has a hatch on its bottom that houses a 36oz. drinks container which attaches to a straw that extends through its body, allowing you to drink through its skull.

Philion says that he has already sourced an agent and has factories in place to manufacture more the cool babies once the project is funded.

“The reason my funding goal is a little high is because I might have to use up to three factories to get everything I need into this one product”, he said. “I’m finding that manufacturing is fascinatingly not-straight-forward.”

Amazingly, 203 people have backed the project raising $11,156 so far of its $70,000 goal, with eight days left to go.

Headbones turned up to day. Currently charging up, I hope they are good wanted bone conducting headphones for years. I also hope they fit as mist behind the head ones don't, stupid big head with sticky out bones.

Mine turned up earlier in the week and I'm struggling a bit to get them comfortable (extra large head) as there's no flex in the part that goes from the battery to the arm hinge, I'm worried I'm putting too much pressure on the hinges (which is why they were delayed, adding strength to the hinge). I like the concept but it's taking a while to break them in :(

:( same don't really fit. Large pressure on the sticky out skull just behind the ears and the arms could do with being a bit longer.

Wonder what plastic it's made out off, hopefully be able to tweak them a bit with a hair dryer to soften the plastic.
