***kickstarter***

I backed my forth kickstarter the other day.

So far it's been:
Anime BD release.
Modelling supplies.
Classic Anime BD release (with excellent new transfer, keychain and patch).
Classic anime BD with a model.

I'm seeing a pattern appearing there :p

My backed projects:-

Ongoing:-
Cheese Posties :D
Tamashii | A Social Documentary told through Skiing

Successful
LightSail: A Revolutionary Solar Sailing Spacecraft
The Mandate
Satellite Reign
ARKYD: A Space Telescope for Everyone
Elite: Dangerous

Unsuccessful
Radical, Revolutionary, Rutan. Now fly your own SpaceShipOne - gutted had the chance to own one of the models that went into space on SS1 :(
Space Coffee Cup

also space heavy,

Only ones I'm dissapointed with are
herb garden, poor qaulity manufacturing
headbones - too small for my head, but I have this issue a lot with headphones, the search continues.
LuMini - a bit on the dull side.
robo3d - was over a year late.

fireant, omega wallet, camera clip, snug, gir, morph are all absolutley fantastic.

can't be bothered to post the failed ones, space martini glass was in there though.

So far I've backed:

Anime BD
Collection of short live action films by New Japanese directors
Japanese live action film
Poster featuring many different sorts of ramen
Classic anime BD

The first was excellent and the second was good if weird (and late).
The third is in post production and is due for release at the end of the year sometime (the Kickstarter was related to some extra costs relating to the international distribution. The actual costs of making the film were already covered)
The poster is currently in the post.
The last thing ended the other week at a total significantly over their original goal (having reached it in only ~13.5hrs). Won't deliver until the beginning of next year though.

I haven't read the page in detail, bur I can't see how it could possibly work, not only does it have to be a GPS and know where it is. It then also has to send a signal by mobile, WiFi, or satellite.

Put it this way my hiking satellite device which is essentially this is £130 size of a phone and £11 a month.

Backed the bill Nye film and the historic robotic spaceship poster. Get me a nice new horizon poster to hang up with a few other posters I have.

If you read the comments, the creator (or someone part of the team) tends to skirt around the questions being asked (specifically with regards to the mobile network and the prepaid sim) and doesn't give solid answers.

Plus i don't see how you'd fit a GPS and GSM module(s) + antennas and battery into something the size of a 10 pence piece

The challenge of an app on all platforms isn't really a challenge these days... Getting the logic on the small device and all the systems up and running is a different ball game though

video..

"your not the only one.." seriously? cmon.. CMON!!! CMOOOOOON

No way i'd waste money backing that. How would a battery fit in a device that size to power it for any length of time and not to mention all the gubbins needed to fit inside it. And the bad English from what a presume is a British Kickstarter just takes the biscuit.
