I remember reading somewhere years ago that when a different ethnicity moves to a new area, it only takes 7% of the areas population to start drastic change and influence the local area.

It doesn't matter if the majority of boston is british, that silent majority is irrelevant. When it comes to large scale political movements, it only takes 3.5% of the population to be on board for it to have profound lasting effect.

That’s fine but the fact that he’s saying they’ve ruined the town and basically made it a crime hot spot is ridiculous. That assumes that every Eastern European living there is a criminal.

The reason they ended up living there is cheap rent etc. The reason rent is cheap etc is because it’s a hole and no one wants to live there. Yes Eastern Europeans drink and alcoholism is a problem but that’s no different to British who drink stupid amounts too.

It’s just a stupid claim and it’s always the same bunch on these forums that somehow ends up blaming the little foreigner for the problems of xyz be it Birmingham, Boston or other towns. Guess Glasgow is also full of foreigners committing crime and that is why it’s a hole too.

But I think that’s my 2p. I have no time to argue with people who think all problems in UK are caused by immigration.

I wonder if there was beef between parents and him etc and the girl ended up getting killed. Guess we’ll find out more but what ever it was, it would have had nothing to do with her.

A lot are hard working and just want a better life, unfortunately there are a lot who are scum and villains. But hey, put words in peoples mouths to support your own argument eh Karen?

It seems this particular incident was over lost wages. He worked for the 9 year old mum's business. For some reason, he wasn't paid, the result being our hero stabbed the daughter.

You need to take your outrage elsewhere and take a look at yourself if you think ALL immigration is a good thing. Done correctly and those coming in wanting to contribute, i'm all for it.

Ah!!! You are Eastern European, hence the outrage bus!!

Dude, no-one is saying all immigrants are the same, so stop taking this so personally! My daughters best friend was Lithuanian (until they moved away), my next door neighbours are Lithuanian and both families are very hard workers.

What i AM saying is that unfortunately, some of these people are not very nice and instead of working, they take the easy route and commit crimes. Sorry, but it's fact that crime rates are significantly up - what was a once a relatively easyish area to police, the police are really stretched and having to focus there.

Boston is more of a dump than it was and that is down to the unsavoury demographic - not ALL of them :)

It was witnessed in broad daylight. There was CCTV footage of a suspect released soon after. The images of the guy arrested look pretty close to the CCTV footage. I'm sure if they talk to a couple of the witnesses there'll be a match.
