Liz truss is a train Wreck and so is Sunak however i grew up in this town on the outskirts of the roughest area of the town. I know what the people are like there and you only need to talk to any dropout local to hear the words "******* foreigners" and "Taking our jobs" come spewing out their mouths. Those jobs existed way before the eastern europeans arrived and the locals didnt want to do them then and now they have a convenient excuse because someone else came in to do the job. As with any country and immigration yes, some degenerates and problem people move too but there are legit some grafters in the community that come from eastern europe.You'll be hoping for Liz Truss to be our next PM then, or even voting for her should you be a Tory Party member?

Problem is you need to look at the jobs and opportunities in the area. If there are good jobs and good opportunities for people then you tend to attract more ambitious and law abiding individuals. Where there are no opportunites and trash jobs for trash pay then you tend to attract people that dont really have job prospects or ambitions and therefore a rougher class of individual.
For example, i went to Boston Grammar School and out of the 60ish people in my year that went on to A level, all but half a dozen left the town, went to Uni and are now scattered across the country and even the world in better paid jobs than you could get locally. The few people i do know of that stayed in Boston are in dead end jobs or now have criminal records....
The towns environment breeds and attracts the wrong people hence the high crime and disorder

My wife is Lithuanian and her town is full of alcoholics and people who kill themselves because they have no hope. Lithuania bar Vilnius, Palanga and Kaunas is about 20 years behind "modern" Europe. Hence why a lot decided to come to UK to make a better life for themselves. The vast majority are hard working and good people but due to no metering a lot of junk has come through as well. Especially with the 2014 expansion. Thankfully that isn't the case anymore.
She doesn't even see Lithuania as home anymore as it just has many bad memories for her. A lot seem to agree as Lithuania has lost a third of its population since their integration into the EU.

I don’t know was it, I mean a 5 minute walk from the centre of Boston there is some huge houses, some look quite expensive and some parts of Boston are ok, I stayed at the premier inn on the outskirts not long ago.
I don’t believe it’s always been a hole. Some parts are seriously run down though.
No different to any town or city, all have thier share of good and bad.

majority of Boston is British born and bred and with a lot more wealth than your average Eastern European who rents and has little power to “turn” a whole town into something else.
