Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

After the issue with colour and gamma I've decided to give up on it. This game is clearly a paid Beta and that really annoys me. I'll check back in a month or two and see if they've invested the time into it, but they've probably made their money so won't bother.

I'll be very apprehensive about buying anything else from this developer.

I'm crashing more than ever and noticing more mission glitches too than usual, which is peculiar given the updates!
I had my 2nd crash yesterday, given 1.3 hasn't been out very long the frequency may well be increasing, I play about 1-2 hours a day when I can and have played 59 hours according to Steam. The first crash was on one of the earlier versions. The game freezes and a KCD stopped working message comes up.

Other bugs I've had are falling through the level after I went down a hill only to go back up after pressing space a lot, emerging severely injured and bleeding. Also, after completing the "Hand of God" quest the game refused to save (I think this was fixed with 1.3 though).

Despite all of this I'm greatly enjoying the game, it's refreshing to play an ambitious game which I think succeeds in many regards as opposed to some of the loot crate infested rubbish we're served these days. I can see how it can be frustrating though. I am a kickstarter backer by the way and had forgotten about the game until I got the nice surprise that it was being imminently released.

Seems mine was related to turning off VSync - now it's back on again, not a crash to be had.

The glitches with mine seem to be getting worse, but you can carry on through them. Markers for every step of a mission remain until I complete it, and the markers for the final piece to complete the mission don't show, so I just have to look around for the individual I know will enable completion!

It's still very, very enjoyable indeed.

I read that patch 1.35 was due this week with a bigger 1.4 following a week or so after.

Reading some if the comments I am holding of buying until that is out.

Looking forward to it though.

I understand the annoyance about bugs, but this negativity is really unnecessary. If they could delay and polish more, they would, but it was either release or go bankrupt. Now that the game is fortunately successful and they can pay salaries, they will keep patching the game until they are happy with it, as well as add new content. CD Projekt was also patching TW3 for a year after release, or Obsidian with New Vegas.

I just read an article from Warhorse cinematic director - it has 4 parts, he goes into deep detail about how they did the cinematics (unfortunately the articles are in czech only):

http://vizualniefekty.cz/jak-jsme-tvorili-cutsceny-pro-kingdom-come-deliverance-1/

He mentions how several months before release they had to work 90 hour weeks in order to make the release deadline..

@Paul_cz that's a fair comment from you there.

I just can't be bothered with the bugs right now, so if they're going to progress with the patches then I'm more than happy to get stuck in again after a month or two when it's more polished. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more at that time.

Yeah I am in the same boat, I am also waiting for now, I want the experience to be as smooth and issue-free as possible, plus knowing they are working on stuff like playable Theresa questline, the game will only get better. I waited 5 years, I can wait a bit more time, even if it is annoying and I want to play NOW :)

I've had two random crashes since the 1.3.3 patch I think. Before that I'd found V High with a couple of the settings on High (Ultra guaranteed constant crashes for me) was stable then the crashes in the last two sessions. Both after ~2 hrs or so on the latest patch.

I'm right at the last battle so I'm thinking of maybe waiting for the next big patch and maybe trying one of the re-balance mods to make some things a little harder and slower to learn skills.

Arrows definitely need more range and speed but there's a mod for that to try.

I still find little gems in the surrounding forests when I feel like a ramble so someone put a lot of time there but it's a pity you mostly look appreciatively and then just move on.

I'm very early on in the game, just got out of the castle you escape to after the prologue. Have spent too much time perfecting my reshade (which is now ace btw).

Not encountered any crashes or bugs yet. I think the game does feel a tad 'clunky' and perhaps beta like, but I have to say it has a massive amount of charm and feels different to the usual ****, so I'm pretty positive about it at the mo...

So the best horse in KCD is supposed to be Warhorse Jenda. I'm at the point in the story where
Merhojed has been attacked and all the horses poisened will it turn up somewhere else?
.
Andi.

The only way I found they'd come back was to complete the mission relating to that incident. That's not to say there's no other way though.

not so "fun" fact: Jenda was a name of Dan Vávra's dog who served as a bit of a mascot in the kickstarter video updates. He passed away during development so they immortalized him this way :)
