I had the same problem near the start of the game. I can't recall how I got rid of it either, usefully.

Yes I have the light armor perk, to check all your active perks you need to click on the Player button then the Buffs tab though they also appear at the top of the inventory screen. In your case your arm armour and leg plate are probably preventing the perk from being active if you've chosen it.

came across possibly my first major and permanent bug (apart from stuff ive mentioned). I now have the warhorse wenda but they are no faster than the previous horse i had. They are supposed to be something like 41 speed but mine is 34 (nekkid) and then when i put on noble saddle and 2 sbags it goes down to 32. Hrmm. And yet when i see videos of horses in KCD they have speed of 50, 60, 70 etc when you equip stuff on them. e.g. see 14:28 for wenda example in video. Each time he put an item on the horse the speed practically doubled?

mods or bugs?

 
one of the most annoying ******* things in this game happens all the time. I just fought off a couple of heavily armored cumans (im thinking ohh nice armor i will get to loot hehe)

first one surrenders so i thought ok he will stay and kneel while i finish his bud but no he runs off the ****. Same with 2nd guy i finally get him to surrender and i want to continue the fight and suddenly hes ******* usain ******* bolt? he has just got his face smashed in and yet he can run a marathon quicker than damn gentry? complete waste of time fighting them omg...../reload

What I don't like is there's no option just to off them then and there when you can engage them in conversation once they've surrendered? Isn't it just 'Let them go', 'Let them go unarmed' and then 'Carry on fight' or something? Except if you carry on fight they just leg it.
 
If the bandits / cumans run off I find they generally return to their camp within a few minutes most of the time they lay down to sleep / heal and you can finish them off with an arrow.

Actually this happened mid fight! I was still battling with one of their comrades and the guy came back and lay down to sleep right next to where we were clashing swords.
 
What annoys me is that unless you pick up their weapons straight away they disappear (??). Whenever I go back to say the first guy I downed in a group fight there's never a weapon on the floor nearby.

Only trouble with this is that the visor is always fully down in the menu showing Henry and when in conversations which kind of breaks the immersion a bit for me. Decided on Noble Mail Coif and Bell Shaped Kettle Helmet as seems to suit the aesthetic well.

Hoping for a fix on this so my Henry can wear his rare Arching Bascinet that I killed I v.high level Bandit for. Don't have the Warhorse one as I didn't pre-order sadly.

PC specific patch 1.3.4 is out on Steam and GOG. Fixes random encounters bug and adds support for Nvidia Ansel and Shadowplay. So now you can take cool screenshots on Geforce

I'm just spending time by just levelling up my stats, doing some side quests and just exploring the country side. Really enjoying this game, need to find a way where I can quit my real job and become a full time medieval man :P
