Korean Grand Prix 2011, Yeongam Circuit - Race 16/19

Watching F1 now. I am totally gripped this season it wins every time over football atm for me. I'm on lap 23 atm and plenty of action already. Just need Hamilton to catch and dice with vettel but I don't think thats going to happen ZZzzzz.

Remember you saying something similar last year :D

I might end up saying it next year too, but it won't be the case for too much longer. More than anything I just don't want to see RB running away with it again - would be great to see more of the other teams getting into the mix. Seems only McLaren and Ferrari have a chance of that though.

I am also interested to see how RB adapt to the new exhaust rules since the car seems to rely on the current system so heavily - McLaren too.

Oh ffs, give it a rest will you.

Lewis went side by side with Webber for half a lap without any contact, which is remarkable given his recent form, and then held him off for about 15 laps. While Button... Dropped back from Webber and then caught back up.

So yes, I think Lewis' drive overall was much better than Buttons.

Stop trying to start fights.

Im not - but given the timing difference their performances on the day were nigh on identical, yet one is "great" and the other is "good" according to you

At the end of the day Lewis was holding up three faster cars, (as they werre keeping up with him/ each other despite the aero difficulties that LH didnt have to contend with) after dropping back from pole

Safety car? Kinda helps to finish closer when the pack gets bunched up again?

Sorrry , did I miss a safety car period in the last 10-15 laps of the race when JB was within the aero region of Mark's car, and staying there relatively comfortably - ie easily enough time to drop significant time IF he was slower than Mark /Lewis

fact is Lewis was going as fast as he possibly could at the end, where as JB (and Mark / Alonso) were all being held up without enough significant advantage to get ahead of the McLaren (or each other)

Well done CS - congrats to everyone, but Im crossing everything all winter other teams will be very competitive come March

What are you on about, you said he finished within a couple of seconds of Lewis. Well at one point that gap was closed up because of the safety car.

I'm sure if Lewis had finished behind Jenson in the same circumstances you would have been the first to point it out.

Jenson had an average weekend, you can tell from his interview he wasn't happy himself this weekend. I just don't get why his qualifying is still dog ****. I look at his performance since mid season 2009 and think it would take a car with such a performance advantage for his to consistently get poles again or even front row starts.

Why can't he get the best from the car on a saturday? Does he struggle to get tyre heat? Too conservative?

What is it 11-4 to lewis in a tragic year for lewis.

Nobodys reign at the top of F1 lasts forever

Look at the williams domination, the ferrari domination, the mclaren domination etc..

it all ends eventually as people in the teams move on.

Keeps the sport fresh. Lets just hope RBRs domination doesn't last as long as ferrari's did last time round 8 times in 10 years wasn't it lol ?

Here's an observation.
I have seen comments posted in here, from Ferrari, McLaren, Williams and Lotus fans.
Are there any RBR fans?

Well....CS||nuTs probably is a bit. Aside from that no I don't think so.

Is that so surprising though? Many support a team or collection of teams from whenever they start enjoying the sport. I am a McLaren fan and also want to see Williams do well. When Hamilton leaves I'll want to see him do well wherever that is, even if it was Ferrari lol.

I don't know of many people who change their support in team based sports. And, not being harsh or discounting the obvious achievements, RBR haven't been around THAT long.

There are obviously fans out there though.

Also there is a rumour bouncing around that Lewis and Nicole have split. That might have something to do with his demeanour all weekend.

Also this was supposedly taken before the race this weekend

Congrats NUTs.

That was actually a pretty awesome race, nicely done by Hamilton I think, keeping Webber at bay, cleanly!.

Why was Button holding back from them? Saving his tyres or was he just unable to keep up?

Button says he was too slow in sector 3 so he couldn't use DRS. Reckoned he used it once only in race...

On a quick sidenote, RIP Dan Wheldon, died in a massive Indy Car smash yesterday, another talented British driver dead...
