Lawnmower accident

She doesn't exactly look like the irresponsible child I was imagining from the original description of events.

Very tragic incident but glad she is on the mend. As for the people who doubted this actually happened, it's quite common on internet forums for people to be completely obnoxious and then skulk into the shadows when they are proved wrong.

The worst thing in the world is your child being injured but even worse is injuring your own child.
From the picture she looks like she's going to pull through but I doubt the Dad will ever do.
Sorry I doubted you a few posts back.

Also heard last night from friends that when it happened Chelsea (my niece) never cried. All she was worried about was that if my brother would goto jail.

Kids can be strange (in a good way) when things like this happen. I know a lot of kids that have things happen in their lives for the worse (not this serious, more family splitups etc.) and the way they view them is really strange, but quite cool.

I'm glad she's on the mend as quickly as she is, also as has been said, she sounds like a right trooper which is great as it always aids recovery.

I have a friend who lost a leg, and she was devastated by it and was in hospital for something like 3-5 months.

You shouldn't have said that because the keyboard warriors will now think that he was guilty.

When I was 11 I got run over by a bus and for months after I used to put things behind the bedroom door to stop the bus driver coming in. I kept looking out of my window to see if he was waiting to get me.

For about an hour (and yes I did some major grovelling).

Just an update:

Also got a video of her walking somewhere.

She iss coming home this weekend for good. Quickest ever recovery most doctors/nurses are saying.

Got her limbs a few weeks ago and that cycling video was taken the second time she had them on.
Thats as good as anyone could have hoped. I wish the best for her, and it nice to see her doing so well :)
