Lawnmower accident

Pretty much everyone who posted doubts also said "I'm really sorry for you if this is true". Which is fully acceptable. in my view.

All those posts pretty much amounted to:

"Hey there, I think you're lying because of such and such.

But if you're not lying, wow I'm really sorry!"

That doesn't particularly strike me as acceptable.

I think the amount of crap that sometimes gets posted on these forums, no wonder why some people question it.

I don't care how cynical people here might've become, there is no need to go posting their doubts in such a cold and uncaring way.

Just a little update:

She is doing really good. I went to see her the other day and she was fine, and acting like nothing really happened. I guess children are like that?

She got the casts off yesterday and Mum said she was fine, and today she was going out of the hospital for the first time.

Doctors/nurses says she is 3 weeks ahead even though she has only been there a week and that she could be home as early as this friday?!

Thanks for everyones support from this thread. Its nice to read. I can see the point of some people saying its my brothers fault etc. but it has happened now and I guess you have to move on. There is no point starting blaming someone for it. He didn't mean to do it.

I'm glad it's going well. I also hope everyone involved can somehow put this all behind them and carry on. Best wishes to everyone..

I expect prosthetic limbs can't be decided on until the wounds are completely healed.

Ok well I'll ask when mum gets home, but thats what they told me.

NP, normally when something like this would happen there's no need for a cast, with casts they're really for supporting something. So when you break your leg they want it to be set in place for example

But I understand that a serious wound looks like that.

The removal of bandages at such an early time is a good sign I think.

Her legs got amputated up to her knees.

Yeah sorry I worded it wrong I just wondered if she had had her legs twisted when they were caught in the lawnmower and so it had caused damage further up to increase her problems the poor kid.

Amputation bandages removed after one week? Wow, that is amazing progress indeed! Best wishes to her recovery and to her future.

Don't know if anyone knows him, but someone knew the Linfield manager so got him to call up today:

As you can see she got a Signed t-shirt and football. From what mum said, she was happy.

I hate Linfield (:p) but fair play to him for going to visit her.

Was this in the papers at all?
Yeah, I hate them too! :p

And no idea if it was in the papers. The amount of people ringing and calling at the house is getting annoying.
