Thats shocking, very sorry to hear that.

Do you have any details of how it actually happened? I thought the design would prevent any large objects passing underneath it?
 
Terrible news. What an awful thing to happen to such a young girl. I hope everything goes smoothly over the next few days. Good luck.
 
Sorry to hear what happened, I hope something can be learned from this, it is not sensible to have kids running around extremely dangerous machinery.
 
I don't know whats more surprinsg, the fact someone can run over a small child with a lawnmower which goes amazingly slow, your first thought being to post about it on here or the fact your main concern seemed to be to post a picture of your lawnmower...
Either way, poor girl.

I wish the girl the best of luck dealing with this, must be awful :( Your Brother too, going to be a hard time for him I imagine mate.

Several reasons, which is why it isn't a stupid comment, like I said however the OP and his family have my deepest sympathys. I have worked in the ground/garden maintenance insdustry for almost a decade so forgive me my scepticism.

I suspect it is a lie because I know how unlikely it is. That does not mean to say it is not true. In all likeliness we will find out whether or not it is true as it is a very newsworthy event. As newsworthy as a dog killing a child for instance. I have expressed my sympathies and I will express them again with an apology if my suspicions prove to be false. I am not heartless, I am doubting myself but the only reason I am is because the accident sounds so horrific and I would hate to be wrong.

I agree here.

If this is true, then I wish the best for the family involved. But I strongly suspect it is not. Firstly I tend to look at the post count and registration date of the poster before making an opinion, and in this case the style of the post makes me question whether it is true.

Sorry fella if this is true, if it is not, I want you banned and actually I wish you physical harm.

I am also sceptical, although if I am wrong so be it. Anyway the OP will not be reading this yet as he is off to Uni today, I'm sure his family will not need him for support at a time like this.

Yesterday the OP was threatening suicide because his gf had dumped him for being obsessively jealous. Maybe this is a cry for attention?

I'm sorry but I'm calling BS, you posted yesterday at 7:20pm about how you & your girlfriend split up. Yet in this post you say that your brother was cutting the grass yesterday when this horrible accident occured.

As with the other posters, if I'm wrong I'd gladly appologise and send my sympathies to your niece.

You have a massive point.
I doubt his brother was cutting grass after 7:28pm on saturday and in his 'Dumped' thread he would have mentioned his niece.
Of course he might not have found out until this morning and his first thing to do would be to find a picture of the lawnmower.
I'm edgeing on BS now.
