Well I have just fitted out my entire house with LED and am very happy.

GU10 - http://www.ledhut.co.uk/spot-lights...umens-45-watts-equiv-best-internet-price.html

Standard bayonet bulb - http://www.ledhut.co.uk/led-bulbs/b22-led-bulbs/4-watt-b22-led-golf-ball-shape-bulb.html

Standard screw bulb - http://www.ledhut.co.uk/led-bulbs/e27-led-bulbs/4-watt-e27-led-golf-ball-shape-bulb.html

Cannot replace the bathroom light unfortunately so looking to swop the entire fitting out.

20% off at th checkout plus further 20% cashback at Quidco makes them very cheap.

Thanks for the recommendation I need to replace the rubbish bulb in my garage and want something bright to light it all up. Will check fitting and order tonight :)

Annoyingly I'd been saying for 5+ years that I expected LEDs to replace household lighting, but hadn't thought of a way to monetise the thought! :)

I am going to test bulbs form these guys
http://www.energysavingled.com/led-spots/

They seem to be quite good spec and they have good reviews.

http://www.energysavingled.com/product/dimmable-led/7w-dimmable-led-spot/

Just tried three of the 6.5W units in my kitchen - http://www.energysavingled.com/product/led-spots/6-5w-led-spot/

The units are a perfect size for the replacement of GU10s. The colour is also pretty much perfect. And the light spread is also very close to mine (60 degrees).

However, I'd say they're just not quite as bright, VERY close though. If your current 50 GU10s give you enough light/coverage, then these will too.

However, in my kitchen I only have three 50W GU10s which only just about do the job. I have to use side lights to make up the difference. With the 50W GU10s replaced with these 6.5W LEDs it's a tad darker in areas.

I need it to be brighter... So I need some brighter, slightly whiter 50W GU10 replacements...

But even though I'll probably return them and wait for a brighter alternative, I'd recommend them!

thanks for posting.

I know its a lot of money but why dont you try these?

http://www.energysavingled.com/product/dimmable-led/v7-7w-led-dimmable-spot/

Look interest! Warm white colour is approaching 3000K which is nice (IMHO), and the beam angle is a crazy 135 degrees - too much? That's over twice standard GU10 unit (60 degrees)! Might spread too much/too thin!

But then it is 25% brighter than a regular GU10.

But at that price simply not worth it! Cost over £100 for my three GU10-50W units...

If they were to come onto offer for a fraction of that price then yes.

This one looks better for my purpose (580 Warm White Lumens, 60 degree beam), but still too expensive - http://www.energysavingled.com/product/led-spots/v7-7w-led-spot/

Looks like brightness depends on manufacturer.
My 5w LEDhut GU10s are definitely brighter thanthe 50w halogens they replaced. :)

Got a link? In my case I just want something brighter (& slightly whiter) than the three 60 degree beam 50W GU10s we have.

If I could find ones with 75 degree beams and say 25% brighter than 50W GU10's - Perfect!

I can't wait till LED tech becomes mainstream and the prices drop. Those look really good, but just way too expensive for a single bulb.

You can tell it's a quality bulb just by looking at the heatsink design. The cheap ones are just cast alloy with some silver spray paint on top. No wonder they blow after a few months..

Anyone have any experience of these:- http://www.easybulb.com

I look at that and think what an utter waste of time.

So you have to leave power going to these units 24/7? You mess about with the silly app, and nothing happens... only to find someone pressed the switch on the wall to turn it off.

And you have to have your phone with you just to control a light 4ft away?

Really

Well, the 2 E27 LEDs I bought seem faulty!

One is much dimmer than the other. I tried it in both light fittings and it was the same. The other bulb makes a buzzing noise and flickers when the dimmer is set to high. It is the right dimmer switch and it is brand new.

I didn't keep the boxes but have asked if I can return for a refund. Bought them at LED hut.

They are 5w ones and dimmable

If they are waterproof silicone ones I think the only thing to use is silicone adhesive and even that doesn't stick particularly well I don't think.

Edit: Think it's ok to link this as it's not something OcUK sell?

LED Strip fixings

Those are ok up to 12mm wide.

Thanks, ordered these and they are PERFECT!!!

Guys I am having a issue though, my Wall controller connects to my controllers(Drivers) via RF...... now this is problematic as the signal sometimes gets through but other times not. So I way looking for some sort of RF repeater I have found that Lightwave produce this:

http://www.lightwaverf.com/store/home-automation-controls/wifi-link-signal-booster

Now could I use this via my RF controller? this device surely must just repeat what ever frequency it learns?

Thanks very much
