LG Flatron W2600HP 26

Any more news from LG? I understand that the monitors are slow out of production but surely they can confirm whether or not they'll honour that price for pre orders? I don't really see why that should take much time at all. If they confirm that then its just a matter of when rather than if! Any more news on a price for that dell?

DELL DEAL - I'd be happy to do the Dell for £415 Inc. VAT. I know it's not as close as the LG but it's £32 off the normal price.

Has there been any more word from LG at all Mr S?

Not yet. I've sent another e-mail today.

Hi Slackworth

Order Number: OC867279

I did put a post in the Customer Service Forum.

Reply (dated 11/9/2009 ) to my webnote about a refund was.....
"I do apologise for this, but I have refunded this for you, and the money shall be refunded to the card you payed on. I hope this helps you, and thanks for the web note.

Regards,

James Salmon"

Hope this helps, and look forward to a deal on the U2410... drop me a webnote... :D

I've just checked on the status and it appears our sales team didn't do it so apologies for this. It's been done now though and will show in 3-4 days time.

LG haven't confirmed anything yet. With most of these companies, the guys in the UK actually have very little say. All the pricing on Samsung monitors for example is set by Korea. It's not as easy as one man in the UK saying "ok, we'll sort it out".

OC879132. I got a response to my WebNote saying that it's because the Razer Mamba isn't in stock but I checked at the time - and just now - and it's showing as having 10+ available. It's annoying because I avoided ordering the Corsair H50 at the same time specifically because it wasn't in stock and didn't want it slowing down my order but since then it's actually become available and has already been shipped.

Again, apologies for the previous lack of communication. I have refunded your shipping back to your card which will show in 3-4 days time.

i fully understand lg head office may set pricing but are you saying that the uk arm of the business can't sort out their own mess? I dealt with lg uk consumer electronics and home appliances myself and they certainly had control over what the products left the warehouse for. In cases when a supplier just couldn't move anymore on price even though they wanted or had too then there was always some sort of marketing support rebate or the like. . .

It seems your being left in the firing line on this one Adam and i sincerely don't mean or want anyone taking anything i post personally which i'm sure you haven't but honestly this is beyond a mess. It's about time whoever made the balls up, if thats what it was bites the bullett and sorts this out.

Decision?

I thought that deals between suppliers and sellers are juridically quite black and white.
Or is this system of ordering stuff from LG based on few loose emails and digital forms afterall?

I've just seen mentioned on a rival site that LG considered honouring any backorders but that the monitor won't be available for some time, possibly not until next year. Is there any truth in this?

If so it looks like the Dell U2410 is the only suitable replacement, though I was hoping for a slightly larger monitor with a low input lag.

Considering it has been available here in Finland all the time (in small quanties) I don't see why it wouldn't be available now unless there's shortage of some component or something else which has paused manufacturing.

the longer it takes, the more chance there is that the pre-order customers will give up and cancel. I'm sure its not LG's priority to ship out a bunch of monitors that they'll barely make any money on when they could be selling them for the correct higher price:(. All we can do is hope that OCUK can keep on at them to get the monitors to us asap, which I hope is being done since they are holding our money.

When I ordered this, I put work down as the delivery address, problem is, I might not be working here by the time it arrives :(
I've got to give 3 months notice, so hopefully this will be resolved by then!

We got told similar but I don't find a quick one liner in an e-mail an acceptable answer.
