LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Because so far everything points to the monitor still being repaired and next o the notes it shows credit back to customer. If it was just a refund and monitor is sent back then it would have been removed from the RMA area on my account and be marked as inactive but it hasn't and is still marked as in progress.

Just gotta wait to find out.

If I was gaming more than editing then i'd probably prefer the curved more I guess but I need one on my desk to know for sure. Soon...

I won't be shifting my non curved any time soon though. It's great :D

Has anyone got theirs on a vesa mount? I'm right in saying mrk has a desk mount arm? I need a wall mount as I have a tempered glass desk and don't fancy taking a chance on it. Desk backs onto a wall anyway so I've no qualms about that option. Any recommendations for these 34's?

Approx 44.5cm including the stand. The screen tilts back a bit though, but I tried to measure it with the screen as upright as possible.

The curved one looks good although I'm not convinced it's worth the price tag. Personally I'd opt for the regular although it is a personal choice mostly dictated by finances. If the curved was cheaper then I'd definitely consider it. I'm going to wait to see what AOC come up with either way.

You cant go wrong with either. It really is a beautiful screen and the picture quality is amazing. I don't miss my 144hz screen at all.

So my goodies arrived this weekend and I have (phone) pics if anyone is interested...

Manged to get the cards in ok and set up the monitor without any issues. This is it next to the 27" Dell monitor -Been playing Destiny for 3 weeks so I've gone a bit Bungie mad hence the wallpaper

I don't really know much about the difference between backlight bleed and IPS glow apart from the fact that IPS glow moves when you look away from it. That being the case, I think i have a tiny about of back light bleed on the lower right hand corner (about an inch). I have to look for it to see it though. I don't know how to take an accurate picture using my Nexus 5 phone because the attempts I have made make it looks far more worse than it really is.
The picture quality is excellent though.
Anyway I just picked up Alien: Isolation so a couple of (blurred) pics.

Overall I'm very happy with the monitor and it's bigger than I expected (a good thing). My Ergotron MX stand should arrive in Thursday, so I'll be all set. I'm looking forward to many years of gaming with this monitor. For me 21:9 is the only way to game!

Nice one mate. Enjoy it :D I love mine. It has an issue but its only a small one and I think I can live with it as I have pretty much no bleed on this one now. Alien Isolation is also amazing on this monitor. Played a few hours last night and ultrawide was ment for gaming.

Would I be completely mad to sell a 2713, 2407 & a 2405 for one of these? (or the curved version)

I think it looks absolutely amazing and 3 monitors on my desk is more effort than its worth.

Nah, not at all. I had a 24" 1080p and 2x20" widescreen monitors in a triple display setup and to be honest didn't find it all that useful for productivity. I kept craning my neck and sitting awkwardly when using the side monitors. I've gone back to a dual display setup using the 24" and one of the 20" monitors. Like you say I found 3 monitors more hassle than it was worth.

I reckon 3 monitors it pretty much unnecessary and that a single large 21:9 monitor would be way better given how well Windows supports split screen mode. I'm planning on buying a 34" 21:9 display later this year once Dell and AOC have released their variants as I'm a bit frustrated at the lack of height adjustment on the LG and think that the competition should bring the price (especially of the non-curved ones) closer to the £500 mark.
