LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

You could have had 2 sales this week!

LG UK are absolutely useless, almost as if they don't want to sell product.

Hopefully one day they will improve and work a lot closer with OcUK to bring nice monitors like this sooner and at better prices. :)

Well if this monitor lives up to expectations then I'll be definitely looking at their future screens - Hopefully by then they'll be putting focus on UK releases at the same time as the rest of the EU.

I'm sure it will, and I'm sure they will!

Yes EU LG Team seem a lot better, UK guys should take note and learn from them.

Glad to hear it. I knew waiting a little would pay off. Been a while since I bought anything from OCUK.

what's the warranty going to be like Gibbo? I've pretty much talked myself into one of these. Want to do it with OCUK

It'll be standard UK warranty, as LG only seems to offer 1 year. So it'll be 2 years technically, or up to .. I can't remember what the law is now. I've been told anything between 3 to 6 years depending on whether the fault was with the item's manufacture.

Just seen some videos of the LG hardware calibration software, it appears to be very well catered for in terms of power and features. This screen has a hardware LUT by the looks of it? Will be great for multiple source inputs. Backlight bleed in the videos showing it shows very little bleed and only the IPS tinge which we all know about anyway.

Quite excited about this!

Colour Management

For true and natural colour, the 34UM95 calibrates in real time without depending on the graphic board's predicted colours. The monitor itself is equipped with a built-in Scaler and True Colour Finder software to directly adjust the colour settings to a user defined set point. In addition, its 10-bit colour display is 64 times richer than an 8-bit colour display, recreating colours softly and naturally without colour banding. Enjoy stunning colour accuracy for an advanced viewing pleasure.

* Hardware Calibration requires True Colour Finder (Only compatible with Windows XP/7/8 by DisplayPort; Windows 7/8 by Thunderbolt; or New Mac Pro® by DisplayPort/Thunderbolt), and compatible calibrator (not included).

* The display supports 10-bit colour over Display port only.

Yup, hardware LUT. It's going to run 10bit over DisplayPort only but covers the full sRGB spectrum, this should mean it offers richer banding free gradient colours all round as advertised.
