LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

It's amazing how good even 720p movies look when maximised on this at native desktop resolution. Was watching one last night and it was so sharp and clear. No blocky pixels anywhere!

I really cant wait, I haven't got one on preorder yet as I want to buy other parts first.
Shame you haven't got any rts games mrk as I think that kind of monitor would hugely benefit rts players.
Do you have dishonoured how does that look?

If there are demos available of the kind of game you want to see on it I'm happy to install and post pics. I don't have Dishonoured any more sadly.

here here! I want photos of these please. :D

I'm glad this, and the 4K's are out of stock. Means I have time to figure out what I want. :p

I wanted the samsung 4k for months, especially when gregster done his review. Then about 3 weeks ago I noticed this huge thread looked into it and and seen mrk review. And its so obvious to me personally that this monitor is the clear winner.
Have you watched Linus video review yet?

If it's on STEAM then even better, I'll sort out Shogun tonight. No idea what to do in those games so expect "lol noob what u doing" style screens :p

You might like shogun 2, huge battles it can be very fun watching zoomed in samurai fighting. Heres a simple tip about battles, think of the units as rock paper scissors. Spearmen will beat cavalry, cavalry will beat archers. Swordmen will beat infantry any type really. Keep your general alive else moral will take a nose dive and will cost you the battle. Also keep him near your army (behind) and use his abilities.

The game is very noob friendly as it gives you advice on what to do. And its a demo so im sure you wont have too much trouble.
As for pictures could you take one of the campaign map and one in battle aswell :)

I have indeed, that video, this thread and others are swaying me to this. Along with more and more users complaining about the TN 4K's having washed out panels, and then the issue with Asus' first batch all having signal drop issues.

Plus the inclusion of thunderbolt 2 makes it amazing for my machine.
Although I'm still waiting for a PC Monitors and TFT Central reviews for some of them. Although user reviews, and tests put the LG far ahead in image quality, usability and for both movies and games.

I'm a bit of an over thinker tough, so i'm still all over the place. Especially when it comes to YouTube uploads and 21:9 aspect ratio. I know you can run in Pillar box 16:9, but how will that play with Screenflow for screen casting, games testing, review, and editing, along with FCPX.

In the end I might get both and just play around. :p

Linus summed it pretty well for me. That its something new and different using a super widescreen monitor. Its not like simply upgrading to a bigger monitor or having one with better IQ. Its something that's going to make you look at your computer differently and how you use it.
Its like playing a first person shooter with a controller then using a mouse and keyboard. Or having 2.1 speakers and then going to 7.1 surround sound headphones. Its just a better and different technological experience.

That's how I see, it. Worst case the games I test don't support 21:9, and I end up with pillar boxing. Then I'll just have to crop the videos
Othercase they do support 21:9, and I have cinema letter boxing on review videos, but amazing gameplay.

Although the work area look beautiful, no need for dual monitors, and a nasty bezel in the centre!
