LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

I used to have a 2.1 speakers, I think they were creative. But I couldn't have them turned up very loud as it would annoy family and neighbours. So I would miss out on hearing my games. Bought good headphones ever since, I can have it as loud as I want and it cancels out any noise going on around me. All about the immersion for me;)

Oh indeed, you get great immersion in a quality stereo setup too though :) I've had surround sound before and still do on other systems and on the HDTV but they just don't compare to a good stereo setup.

I would love to see Shogun II as well with the flags and green unit markers disabled in the options. It is pretty easy to just grab ten units of pikemen form a square with the general in the middle and watch as mayhem ensues :D

Better yet put cannon out in front and musket men to shield each side of the square with the general using rally to keep buffing your morale. The ultrawide pan of a massive frontline is party what i would be buying this for as Totalwar is a series i have been playing since i was a teenie as i always did think keeping an eye on things would be an issue. This monitor would give you a really nice advantage online as well like most rts.

Stereo imaging is only as good as the equipment it's being played on. I know I prefer my headphones and floorstanders over the Sony surround sound in the living room. I guess it's all down to preference. Some of us spend years tailoring our stereo sound systems to the point where they're just the way we like them.

Have those of you with this monitor who have tried gaming found it to be ok?

I ask because on the overclockers website the description lists the monitor as having a 5ms response time, yet the LG website states it is 14ms?

Is that the LG Flatron 29UM65-P 29" ?

If so I'm very interested to hear your thoughts once you've had chance to play around with it for a while :)

I hate you mrk.

Every time I see one of your pictures, I just want to drop my pants and buy the monitor.

your eyes are in your pants? :p

Response time is set to high for mine but I don't have a black level or ECO mode. I do have power saving mode but it's off and greyed out as the LG calibration software controls all the OSD stuff during calibration.

Also, post pics!

Mrk you home from work yet, Christ sake haul ass and get those shogun pics up:mad::p

Some people just can't wait :p
Shogun TW2 was a 4GB demo!!! Thankfully it didn't take long to download:
