It could well be that my experience wasn't "on-site" because of it being an import - I never asked about that sadly but as long as it's 5-7 days and not a few weeks I don't mind too much!

Mines due to be picked up tomorrow too, but I've decided on a refund and I'm going to read some more reviews before I make my mind up.
It's a shame though I would have happily kept the LG if it wasn't for the bleed, and the awful glow in the bottom left, which is somewhat reminiscent of a fog lamp in your eye
Decided to go for a refund on mine too, I have no confidence about getting an acceptable screen.
Understood mrk, and I really do hope you get a good outcome.
I don't think most people would be too pleased about being without a monitor for any length of time, although in your case you decided to try out the smaller monitor in the meantime.

I was half tempted to try out one of the 4k monitors or something with 120/144Hz but I just know that it would end up being "once you go 144Hz you never go back" kind of things. I'm too set on 60Hz gaming. Changing that would be blasphemy!

How true this is. I was all set to order the 29UM95 until I found these threads. You may think 21:9 is the future but not while they are trying to sell screens which are clearly not fit for purpose. I too have no confidence in getting an acceptable screen, do they not have to pass an inspection at all.

Sadly I have also has to initiate RMA. The bleed is starting to get worse particularly on the upper left corner. Opted for refund. Will probs go with AOC 27inch and wait for the tech to mature.
Anyone know how refund works if got it on finance? Will I still have to pay admin charge if goods faulty?

You may knock the Dell housing, but I have never seen the bleed get worse on a dell monitor, only better over time. Too many reports of the bleed on this one getting worse over time is worrying.
Just a little update about my problem with that rain forrest reseller.
The package they sent arrived from them. It’s proper monitor box, but it’s been opened and has brown tape around it. As in the cheap brown box tape you get in the likes of Tesco. So it wasn't new anyway, and I certainly didn't sign for it.
I told the UPS guy I’m refusing the package, and to send it back. Super friendly guy. He said it should take about 3 days to get back to the seller
Once that happens they have no foot to stand on, and will be forced to give my money back, as the Rainforrest already opened a claim on my behalf. There are emails of them originally confirming my order cancellation, and stating they wouldn't even have stock until the 18th as well. So it seems they quickly just sent whatever they had on hand to try and keep my money.
Hopefully all sorted before OcUK gets a new batch of stock.

Wow, what's going on? So glad I didn't jump in on buying this monitor, and I was all set to (though not from ocuk).
Have any users on here got a um95 (not necessarily from ocuk either) without any problems ?

Back home now though but had 4 weeks of use out of it and other than the ATI DP 1.2 flicker it was great.
Will be back over using it again later this year and will check it thoroughly for any bleed but it was fine when I left it.
Holding out for the Asus ROG here though as I want to try G-Sync out.

Mine seems ok. It has slight ips glow in bottom left if you move close to the screen but it's not noticeable during normal use.
No input lag that I can tell either.
I am obviously going to keep a close eye out, but for now it's fine and games are amazing with this screen
