LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Not only that, but in my case they listed stock and never had any. Then only tried to source something, which looked to be a second hand/open box one.
You could not make this up  few hours ago the delivery driver arrived with a brand new (via german shipping) 34" UM65.

I rejected at the door as they have already processed my refund & told me yesterday it may take a lot longer to arrive so they do not even know what is going on I was tempted to accept it as they probably would not even notice it was refunded  but being honest/decent I could not do that!

Seriously? I wonder if we were both dealing with the same supplier. As the reseller I was dealing with tried to shift all the blame to their supposed supplier that handles everything.

Ugh. The package I refused is currently in Brussels for some reason, been there all day. It left the UK yesterday morning, so I was hoping it would have arrived in Germany today so my refund could be processed.

Mine was directly with the rain forest themselves for no hassle refund if I needed it & I did!! The box was brand new sealed unopened it had been shipped from germany I could see that on the label.

Until there is plenty of channel stock for potential RMA's I am waiting. At this rate by the time LG get their act together AOC/Dell will have similar products the AOC especially is much cheaper for the 34" 1440 panel must be the same as the LG just minus all the MAC circuits I do not need as I am a PC only man ;)

Yesterday I was told the delay was because LG did not want them to deliver it today they just turned up I smell something fishy so even though the temptation was huge as I already got my refund processed I CBA to accept it & have a play around as LG do not give me much confidence the way they are treating mrk on his much more expensive UM95  I would have expected a no hassle ASAP straight swap out for a new model (but they obviously have none to give him).

Did someone else not post in here recently that their 34" one has started to develop back light bleed?

it was me. There was a little from day 1 - mainly noticeable in the dark upper left corner bottom left/right corner. Then was watching GoT on Monday and the upper lower lefts were almost touching towards the middle and the upper left had started to spread to the middle of the screen.

Sad to see it go. Thank god no one bought my old syncmaster off gumtree or I'd have nothing :)

Fair do's to OCUK though. Called Tuesday - DPD collected Wednesday. Confirmed today at 3.30 and now showing as refunded on my account. That's why I shop here.

I had thought there was someone else with the same problem!

Unlucky Larty :(

You going to wait a month or so and try again or going for a different monitor/brand?

Superb service by ocuk there!

thinking might go the Benq 32" route. Will spend £1200 on a projector at some point so will get my movie fix from that.
Input lag on that according to some is too extreme for PC gaming have a good look around at the user reviews before buying that put me off it as its no better than a £200 cheaper 32" HTDV

I loaded up TF2 and in-game there is no setting to change refresh rate so I guess it won't allow it but I noticed it dropped to 60Hz in the OSD in the game. Using the test you linked it syncd at 67Hz when set to 75Hz so looked like a 2Hz overclock is max :p

You sound like you have reminants of the 34" somewhere. It is not really a hard test to do you can do it with a mouse cursor on desktop. Basically start at 60hz and work up to the setting that makes the mouse less smooth. If you notice it getting choppy at 62 then it is a duffer.

Use vsync and run TF2 again and set the max_fps to 75 and set the max refresh in the launch options. -refresh 75 is the command. And oc the panel again to 75 and make sure the res is active.

It should work it worked for most of the others here and they all say the +15fps is great.

There are no remnants of the 34UM95, it was installed as a plug and play monitor. The mouse remains smooth at 75Hz in Windows. When loading a game like TF2 even with those switches it doesn't work. The sync test linked above shows 67Hz when set at 75Hz in Windows so it's pretty clear it won't work at 75Hz on this panel.

Not a huge deal, I don't use Vsync in fps games anyway and this isn't going to be a permanent monitor.
