Lila Connect - VX Fibre 1gig - Stoke on Trent

Had Lila installed today, and does anyone know why the following setup wouldn’t work:

SDD (Ethernet?) cable into cat6 jack -> patch point -> Ethernet cable into Lila supplied router’s WAN port.

SDD direct into the router WAN works fine but I’m trying to relocate the router to another part of the house.

My understanding is that my cat6 patching will just be an extension of the cabling?

Any help is much appreciated!

Edit: ok so I don’t think that any of the above is what caused my problem - it’s now not working with a direct connection either… SDD shows a green connection, as does the router but I’m getting 100% packet loss when I ping out.

well originally end of Feb. I booked online for May then I kept going online to reschedule until an earlier date was available for booking.
Rebooked a couple of times and booked 23rd March 2 weeks ago

I was surprised that they turned up to lay the cable, twice, now waiting for 11.00 am to see what happens.
I paid the 650 in full but now found that can't change isp in future and use the lila cable. I'll speak to them later and maybe revert to 10 quid a month instead.

have they been?
they came to mine just after 11 , took about an hour.
Apparently thats what they do now.
Somebody lays the cable and they come and fit the SSD and router and blow the fibre.
When he'd gone forgot to ask about linking telephone, going to VOIP
They are here now they installed the Lila but cut off my virgin FULLY , so having him put the virgin back on

All done he's put my virgin back on getting rubbish speed with the router but ordered a long Lan cable to I can use my own in the living room as they would only install in the front room ,will fully test once I have that set up

what did he do with virgin, used their router IP address? or disconnected cable?
I was a bit disappointed their box would only go on front wall I really wanted it 1 metre in. I've ordered a longer lan cable to position the router further in where I want it.
knew they needed a socket but not 2 of 'em.
At least I can use a multi socket extension for that.

He cut it off completely, disconnected the wiring coming in to my house ,no virgin net or phone

what without asking?
blimey !
did he ask you for a score in his phone app at the end?
my engineer did , but he was ok.
so how long was he there then?
He did put it back when I said to b fair but still how many customers wouldn't have noticed ?

Here about about a hour to install the lila ..another 50 mins to rewire my virgin back

My connection has been painfully slow for the couple of days. Can't seem to figure out what the issue is.
usual questions
have you rebooted router ?
this can be done after logging in to it instead of pressing button back or turning off and on again.
Have you turned off SDD (box they put on inside wall) and turning on.
what is the speed shown on speed test on lilaconnect login page?
their support seems pretty good in the short time I've used it.

as an aside they were quick to bill me pro-rata for this month the day after it was installed!!

Just had a couple of blokes turn up to run the cable from the main street to the front of the house.

Jesus the smell of weed coming from one of them is unreal - he can barely stand up! Good job its outside work because he certainly wouldnt have been coming in!

Anyone got it installed and running in the area around Sandon Primary School? I am in ST3 7AG (Mollison Road) It goes against my principles of doing pre-orders, if connections doesn't take place for another couple months.
