Not too happy with the ending really, would have rather had a more sci-fi rather than spiritual style. i.e alternate universe actually being an alternate universe rather than a purgatory conjured by Protector-Hugo to help all his dead friends find happiness before they move on.

Well to be honest we all knew that the island questions were not going to be answered. The writers definitely bit off more than they could chew there! I did like this season and the finale, but I’m glad it’s over to be honest. It seemed I was just watching the show to see how it ended. It's sad that it’s over but I’m glad it’s gone if you know what I mean. I am a bit peeved that it turned into that awful film 'Passengers' though!

They never said that... infact they use the star wars midocloreans(sp?) argument quite a lot. Sometimes things are best left to your own creativity.
I know, it was so sad but happy as well. Perfect.
Now it's finished which is still sinking in, it kind of makes me think... what the hell have I been doing with my life for the past six years?

Granted there is many questions still left unanswered, people will complain, critics will slate but IMO LOST has been the best TV show to broadcast since its release. Im looking forward to a possible complete Blu-ray box set.

By the way for those thinking that alternate endings were shot - there's not. The producers said they only shot one ending. The alternate endings people are talking about are just some comical scenes made especially for Jimmy Kimmel's LOST special. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyKyjeRodd4

I think the only way I will understand it is if I can actually remember what happened. I'd need to watch all 6 seasons in a pretty short space of time, rather than watching 1 episode a week for 6 years or however long it has been.

I haven't been to sleep yet since yesterday. Watched the whole of season 6 all Sunday which brought me to about 5:30am today, watched the finale, and then left the house for college. Absolutely dead.
Definitely made it better watching them one after the other.
I guess I am in the minority.
Season 1 and 2 were good.
Season 3 and 4 were bad.
Season 5 was good
Season 6 (except for last episode) had episodes which contained some of the best TV I've ever watched.
Last episode: first half was good, but the wrap-up (spiritual) ending was abysmal.
It's almost as if they ran out of money/ideas and thought, "Right gents we have to wrap up the 6 season show in an hour, using any idea we can think of."
Still, a lot of people will like the ending, not because it was good, but because it brings such a long running show to a close.
Like I said, Season6 (except for the final episode), was fantastic.
