Lost my love of gaming :(

The other night out of boredom I pulled out my old 360, and stuck in halo 3.

First 40 mins were fine, then I had a familiar feeling I used to get back in the 90's trying to play Wolfenstein on the snes, starting to feel warm followed by slightly woozy. I've not had that feeling since around 1995, damn low fov.

I find I can never get into any PS5 games, but the PC I'm still gets my interest. Is it the casual format of a sofa and a PS5 which doesn't work, I honestly don't know..

Exactly the same boat. Occasional warzone for couple of hours with mates but thats it, no excitement about a single release lately. Tell a lie, i got excites playing zelda tears, lasted for a month (1-2 hours early morning) and again, couldnt finish it, nothing will reignite the old flame

I finished Tears but it was a slog near the end, you do get your money's worth mind!

I've kind of reached the stage where I only buy half a dozen games a year on PS5/Switch. Mainly just the main Nintendo franchises like Mario/Zelda/Metroid and the occassional top tier/rated PS5 game like Baldurs Gate, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Street Fighter 6, etc.

Very little seems to hold my attention these days or give me the urge to keep playing even with big name titles like those. Most I've only played for a few hours!

Age factors into it, as I said on the last page you get to a point where you've seen it and done it and it takes a lot to get your interest going again.

Try the Master Chief Collection, H3 is probably only a few quid on PC, and has FOV adjustment.

I'm back into gaming again, and it's really helped me fill a void of boredom, which has generally increased my motivation with other things too. I'm only playing through some Mega Drive and PS1 games atm, only for short periods, but i look forward to it. Smash TV, Zombies Ate My Neighbours, Crash Bandicoots, Tekken 3, Medievil (not aged well), etc.

I still can't see myself buying any AAA titles still, they're just meh. I'm hoping to dive hard into Stalker 2 come winter though.

I'm struggling with this issue at the moment. I'm currently off work sick and so bored. Whilst off I tried to play games on PC, Xbox and Steam deck but just lose interest within 30 mins. I used to fully lose myself in games, staying up all night without realising the time but not done that in years as nothing as been able to keep my attention.

Strange feeling :(

I blame a lot of my interest lost these days is due to having far too manys games to choose from

Where back in my much younger days i could only afford to buy one or two games

Same goes for movies :(

For me it's lack of interest in most AAA. Mostly playing indie game or smaller games. Pretty much all my most wanted games at the moment are indie games, handful of AAA titles I do want to play (like Space Marine 2 and Astrobot), but I find indie and lower budget titles are more interesting now.

Exactly this. Every few months Ill sign up for gamepass or geforce now (pc relegated to cupboard just now due to no space thanks to children!). Ill play for a few hours then quit.

I just cant seem to commit the time to "get into" anything now. The sheer number of games just seems to be an issue for me.

Try Armored Core 6. I've been playing it this week and I'm loving the simple nature of its gameplay.

It has multiple build options that can add complexity but the game is basically "go here, blow this up, thanks".

You can then repeat the missions and blow stuff up faster or with a bit less damage or ammo. Simple!

Quality game.

Been playing Wukong recently and I must say, I’m very into it. Not sure how many hours I’ve played by now, but it must be getting up there in the 20s or 30s since release.

Now that they officially canned the 360 store. I bought an old modded 360, and have been playing Forza Motorsport 4 again. Great game!
Project Gotham Racing 4 will be the next one I go for. Racing games used to be more fun.

Project Gotham Racing 4 is in my top 3 best ever racing games. I had such a blast with this game, the races me and my mates would have online were so much fun. And it looks stunning as well. I think it's only 30fps but it looks great.
