LOTRO free to play going ahead.

Myself and a friend started playing a bit again too, been levelling a loremaster. Boring as watching paint dry until about level 35, and then really comes into its own - up to 47 at this stage and thoroughly enjoying it.

I jumped back to Snowbourn, i felt the Kinship wasn't active due to not hearing from anyone about an invite.

After my return I fiddled around with my old main, a Loremaster and all of my alts. Have now settled on my mid-level hunter to push up to 65. Its a great class for casual play. Quite surprised at how well the levelling has gone and the fun I've had as a result.

Particularly impressed with the rework of Evendim. They have taken a good zone with terrible travel problems and made it almost perfect (maybe even too fast/easy).

If anyone is on Laurelin and needs a hand with anything up to about level 45, hit me up - my character's name is Carathas.

Yeah, I found I'd outlevelled Evendim before I'd seen everything I wanted to in it. Actually got to kindred with the wardens faction too, pretty much just through questing.

That Eriador Horse is almost starting to look acheivable, if it wasn't for having to spend time in Forochel :p

I have started up on this server. Who do I approach for an invite?

I may need to start posting this on every page :p.

Add Amdeal, Eldeal and Arandeal to your friends list.

I'm on most evenings for an hour or two, currently levelling the latter two characters. Just send me a tell when I pop online. I did go away for a while, but picked the game up again on (I think) Monday night. The Kin isn't huge, but if you need help and there's someone in the Kinship chat just ask. I spend most of my time just pottering about anyway so feel free to ask for help. The more 65's we get the sooner we can start doing some endgame stuff!

If you return let me know and I'll sort you out an invite :).

Again, if you need an invite on any characters to the OcUK Kin let me know!

Get yourself in the Kinship and I'll see you about! I'm just about to ding 40 so working on the Epic quests in the Misty Mountains. Just took down Gurzmat last night, so have plenty to do around 40 - 45. :)

Sorry, browsing on opera mini using a Samsung C3050 does not an easy forum experience make.:D

That's fine :). I get asked quite a lot and very rarely hear anything back after I give people the details. Beginning to wonder if they read it at all!

I was looking on the LOTRO store and the prices for points are in $. Am I on the correct store page or are there store pages in £?

Quick question, can I download the LotRO client somewhere and create a free-to-play account, or does it require a retail copy? Downloaded as in something similar to what Guild Wars allows, not a pirated torrent or something similar before anyone does a J'accuse :P

(I'm in college atm so I can't check the website)

You can download the full client from LOTRO EU website. :)

I know most of you are on Laurelin, but are there any players out & about on Evernight.

I've got 9 alts on there :D

Lv65 Hunter
Lv65 Guardian
Lv65 Loremaster
Lv53 Runekeeper
Lv60 Minstrel
Lv62 Champion
Lv60 Captain
+others in mid-30's

Look out mostly for Hysteria (Hunter) or Spam (Guardian). Give 'em a shout if you need anything :D

I've only ever accessed the store from ingame, but what's the url you're getting it at? If it's a codemasters one it's the EU version.

Doesn't make much difference if you're thinking of trying it anyway, as Turbine are taking the game back from Codemasters in (I think) July, so if you're looking at what it might cost to play, you might as well use the US prices as a guideline.

Right so, I've got most of the game downloaded, should only be another hour or two left when I get home. I'm gonna roll a LoreMaster on the Laurelin server, I fancied being something of a support class so going with the healer. Is there a mumble or ts3 server you guys use that I can hop onto for some tips on getting started?

Loremaster is only really a healer of last resort, it's more a crowd control and debuffer, as well as the main pet class. Still a very interesting class once it gets going though (which takes a while unfortunately).

Captain is probably the main support class, strange but interesting mix of in-combat buffer and healer.

The minstrel is the main healer, but having played one up to 60 it was by far the most boring of the classes I've played.

No vent or mumble unfortunately, but myself (Caldir or Grimbane) or Amdeal will probably be around tonight to get you into the kin. We might even answer a question of two if we can be bothered :p

I'm thinking of resubbing and could do with a kin invite also :) Are there any particular classes that are needed in the kin at the moment? I've played all classes into the mid 20s at some point or other and there wasn't one I didn't like so I'm happy to crack on with levelling anything really.
