LOTRO free to play going ahead.

guys help plz! ive been away from lotro for around 3 months now. wanted to start again so downlaoded and updated the game client. ive heard we had to migrate our accounts to the global service thing. before this happned i had the lifetime subscription. after doing this migration i had to make a new subscription to turbine so i did that and got my new login details. now when i try to login into lotro all my charcaters are gone! :( and it seems i dont have my lifetime sub things anymore! ( can only create 2 characters, no access to warden, RK ) any idea of what is going on??

Sounds like you created a whole new account rather than migrating your european account.

I was doing some of the elite tombs on my own in The Barrow-Downs today, which **** of a dev thought it would be a good idea to let the Noxious Wight Wardens apply two power reduction over time effects? What a ****in idiotic idea.

As i've chosen my profs as a wood worker and that Amdeal said its very easy to get farmer prof to max with 5-6gold is it worth perusing? I take it it can make some money?

I'm sitting on 6 gold by selling random crap to npc vendors.

bump to my post above. anyone here got any ideas? and what does "plz check this inbox for a separate email from codemasters with the information you require" actually mean? thnx

I'm confused, are you trying to reset your codemasters password so you can start the migration? It's probably best to just phone them up today and get it done over the phone.

I mean is it worth doing farming as a profession as a hunter?

& is anyone playing today?

From what I remember the only use farming would be to a hunter would be obtaining straw for lure traps, to be honest I have 2 hunters @ cap and I don't even remember using lure traps myself.

Also I usually end up playing the game each and every day unless boredom hits me every once in a while, however I might not appear online in the kinship due to only having 2 of my chars in the kinship at present. So if you need anything please give me a shout on one of my bazillion chars listed below :-

Kaythalion
Serekay
Saelkay
Raenkay
Robkay
Kayimli
Kaythelion
Celekay
Felakaylas
Chlothalion
+ 3 accounts of low level chars

Alternatively you could try /who kay or /who chlo or doing the same search via the social panel.

Hope that covers everything ;)

I chose wood working as my main prof so i can make bows for my hunter.
So farming isnt really a money maker in game at all?

I have never found farming to be much of a money maker, I typically use it to provide materials for a different profession such as cooking(various food) or scholar(dyes).

Weaponsmith made me by far the most money, and it mostly came from mid level stuff. By the late 40's he was sitting on more cash than all my other toons combined (and one of them is 60 with scholar close to maxed).

There are usually really obvious gaps in the market, if you keep you eye on the AH.

I found farmer to be quite useful to make cash and regen food (with cooking), especially Lothlorien Waybread and stuff like that, it was selling for loads at max level. Scholar also can make cash (mainly by selling the mats) as can Jeweller for the hope tokens. The trouble is you'll find that a lot of people have multiple alts so are virtually self sufficient, I found it much more efficient to kill stuff and sell the loot to make cash.
