Yeah I suspect that with time it will be the one to have. Very tunable and probably quicker on track, it’s just the noise of the V6 is incredible! That i4 (assuming its the M139) is the best i4 on the planet. Don't discount it on engine size alone

Not at all, I have the last gen version of that engine M133Not bias are you?
Imo neither will sound great due to EU sound regs. Unless they have a way of not fitting the opf?Yeah I suspect that with time it will be the one to have. Very tunable and probably quicker on track, it’s just the noise of the V6 is incredible!

The last V6 I drove last year had a button to get the baffles open fitted by the dealer. Not sure Lotus give much of a crap. The current V6s are super loud. I don't know how they get past regulations, some are to loud for track limits on the stock exhausts.
DCT only with the i4, V6 manual only. That’s me out then! Why on Earth would they not match up that glorious supercharged V6 with DCT? Missed opportunity.
McLaren took some heads from Lotus I believe and their cars are pretty much the best out there for steering and damping these days. Drive a GT3 RS and a 720 down a road and the Porsche will feel agricultural in comparison. McLaren has nailed steering and damping and you have to say some of that is probably because of Lotus heads and their own skills too. Lots of DNA hence my comment about them.
If the Esprit was out today it would be smack in the 570/600LT price line I feel.
I think it’s because the i4 version uses Mercedes power train combo of engine and gearbox hence the DCT only on that, essentially same power plant as A45S but in a lighter more focused car, be proper rapid track tool.
V6 is using Lotus current power train hence only regular automatic or manual as used in the current Lotus cars.
Mira a damn good looking car and at 60k seems a bit of a bargain if true but I guess it depends on what you get for 60k if once you add the must have options they are 90k then not so great value for money but either way I hope it’s a huge success for Lotus.
Everyone knows the best spec is the most basic spec on a Lotus, because it's the lightest
