Looks nice in yellow. Sounds like engine options are 360 i4 or 410 V6. Hopefully over time we’ll get some hotter ones, typical of lotus. I guess we’ll see a 460 ish i4 at some point become the top spec when they run out of V6/The new C63 is out.

Touch everything, feel, press, push, report back.

This is YOUR job for all of us.

This message will self destruct in 5 seconds

As I’m still on the clock, I’m contractually obliged to say that everything is absolutely perfect and everyone should buy one. If you can’t decide which engine, get both.

More seriously, I don’t really spend much time in modern cars so I don’t have any relevant reference points I could compare it to. All the usual youtube/influencer types were there though and plenty of people way more qualified (and less biased) than me will wade in with their opinions over the next week or so.

Looks like they might be purposly keeping the performance under the Exige, which is more expensive (way more expensive for the top spec one) :p

But that is ending production in a few months.

Deposit paid earlier this evening. Lets see what prices and full details bring in coming months.

I am the excites

I think I want the AMG i4 engine - however I'll see what the prices are vs the V6 s/c.
This will replace the 911 C4S I have and I have been looking at GT4's so this frankly looks way better, will be cheaper, a little more 'different' and just something totally fresh with similar performance. It will however not have that lovely 4.0 engine.... hmmmm.

Hopefully they can get a competitive finance package put together and this will sell well. I really like the looks (lots of emphasis on really) and a comfy Lotus is a fair bit more appealing to me now then it used to be.

Wasn't even interested in this at first, assumed it would be another case of a beautiful sports car with a price tag that puts it out of reach of all but a select few.

I'm just watching the Carfection video walk around now, pleasantly surprised to hear "less than £60k". That makes it relevant enough for me to sit up and take notice. A gorgeous car that even I might be able to afford in a few years.

Second hand prices should be good as well, as they said it is designed to be a much more volume product.

Indeed. I've lost interested in hearing about new sportscars as they just become irrelevant. If it starts at £2m and they're only building five of them, then I'm never even going to see one. So it's hard to get excited about even if its got 2000hp. Cars like this, however, are targeting a much more realistic market, same as the Alpine.

Mira a damn good looking car and at 60k seems a bit of a bargain if true but I guess it depends on what you get for 60k if once you add the must have options they are 90k then not so great value for money but either way I hope it’s a huge success for Lotus.

as a lotus it'll be £60k with all the options then £90k to take all of it out again won't it?
