GN is just doing hit pieces to get views, it's a YouTube technique as old as time.

Expect multiple versions of the same recordings until the views drop.

GN is about as unoriginal as it gets, they haven't changed their formula in years. Go back 5 years and bar a hair cut you wouldn't be able to tell the videos apart

Well would you look at that... actual proof from Billetlabs that Linus is a first class tool.

To play devil's advocate, you could argue that billet have a vested interest in making ltt look bad, they did **** all over their design.

I don't doubt what ltt did was stupid but it seems insane how certain people are calling for Linus to go bankrupt and that Steve is the Messiah, when people were calling him out mere years ago for running benchmarks that favoured intel and Nvidia... I suppose that's the short memories of the internet

If I was dumb enough to loan out my only prototype (that sucks and has no practical application) I'd proper deliver it in person, ya know, like a proper grown up.

The follow up video says it all really as well, that the company confirmed to Steve that he didn't even contact them until after the video went live.

Basically if Steve didn't say it they wouldn't have been contacted about it at all.

This thread is a total dumpster fire. I enjoy LTT and have watched for years but I don't see the alterior motive in GN's video. LTT reviews are garbage, that's not news to anyone. If Linus wants to pretend he's the big dog then it's only right he's called out for it. Linus harps on about being a white knight but Steve's issues are legit.

Fair point. Anyone sending a commercial prototype to a guy that seems barley a chromosome away from dragging his knuckles on floor as he walks, probably is asking for trouble.

I don't know this for a fact, but I'm very confident they had it insured and sent via a reputable courier, like most businesses would do. As to it sucking and having no practical application, none of us know because we haven't seen it tested as it is supposed to be used.

Different audience between the two. I don't watch LTT and they are blocked on my twitter feed. They appeal to a certain type of person. They are not in competition. Be like saying Evo was in competition with max power
