Actually, no. They had two separate confirmations that the prototype would be returned with the last confirmation promising (but never providing) a tracking number.

Then LTT auctioned it off.

Then they got crickets from LTT.

Then the GN video dropped.

Then a couple hours after the GN video dropped.......THEN....Linus sent an email.

The monetary offer followed that.

And now the "I can get it back." offer.

Well, they were also offered a tracking number and we know how that worked out.

And they still have the 3090ti!

TBF it's not even that, whether it's trash or not is beside the point, the point is that the highlighted issues are pretty scummy and their response was pathetic at best.

You don’t expect to be betrayed like that.

Prototype by definition is secrete. Linus knew this cos he mentioned it as a “prototype” one of.

I like how most people are choosing sides like they know Steve or Linus personally and have a vested interest in seeing one suffer and the other as the saviour of the PC master race.

They are both businesses just like AMD or nVidia, all the advices from youtubers like them not to get sucked into AMD's/nVidia's/Intel's words but then don't apply it to LMG/GN

You have LTT lovers that think he hasn't done anything wrong and then there are the normal people without sore knees that understand the whole Bilet labs thing is criminal. Nothing to do with Steve.

It's nothing to do with sides. It's just the Linus clearly messed up and shown not to be honest in the responses at best and tbh negligent throughout.

It could have been anyone posting what GN did and made point to highlight how bad LMG have been handling all this.

Makes perfect sense, I wouldn't trust LLT at this point and probably take months to get it back, and more than likely be completely damaged and broken. If they're half way making a new one then I'd prefer the money to reimburse the making of the second prototype. I'm a bit surprised you don't understand this.

That's also another thing, why is everyone believing even Billet Labs is telling the truth! Again it's another company after your money.

I would agree normally but GN has not put sponsorship on the video relating to this issue and has not turned on any YT metrics for the video either (he stated, and no way of knowing either)

So GN is not getting a cent out of it other than exposing LMG and LTT and other Linus related channel BS.

I guess you can say calling BS is calling BS. You don’t need to be in a camp to be on the right and wrong side of a BS.

In short, on this issue there is a binary outcome. Someone is in the wrong - LMG and the associated BS
