And this sounds really bad when you take out the context to make a point.

I’m not defending the video, it was an utter train wreck but what he actually said was he didn’t want to waste the time retesting because no one should buy it regardless. Firstly because it’s $800 water block that fits in zero PC cases cases because of its form factor.

He even said it’s an amazing piece of engineering and was very complimentary of the quality but it just makes zero sense and shouldn’t exist.

That didn’t change the video being a train wreck and a calamity of other errors. Some of their writing team just doesn’t have the experience needed to work on such projects and it’s showing through.
 
I love watching LTT. I watch most of it because it's pretty entertaining. Some of it is a bit boring like when they recently tried to connect as many USB devices to something as possible...who cares! But I find most of what they do pretty hilarious. I will watch this GN video, my first one, to see what it's about.
 
I don't mind Linus, he's done rather well for himself and that's quite commendable. I take everything he says with a pinch of salt and were I in the market to buy something, I'd do a lot more research. Every company's got dirty laundry, its just a lot more exposed on youtube.

That said I stopped GN from showing up on my feed years ago, the bloke thinks he's some form of holier-than-thou tech saviour, does ny head in.

I'll watch this though, he'll no doubt have dipped every bin for the drama and clicks so it should be worth a watch, if a bit pathetic and desperate.

Steve is so far up his own **** and linus work is rather sloppy.
I watch them all sometimes if its something I'm interested in and watching them throw mud at each other is hilarious.

LTT has been a meme tech channel for years. A lot of his videos that's I've watched are cringe-inducing with ineptitude and unapologetically peppered with ways to make him and his company money. I have an order of youtube channels that I watch when something new comes out and LTT is at the bottom of that list, if on it at all.

As for GN calling him out, fair play. It tarnishes the genre of tech related youtube content and it's about time he was held to account so they can see themselves for what they are. However, as can be see time after time he's too arrogant to change. Now, time for a word from our sponsor....

This is an absolute bombshell at LLT, no doubt about now they're in the process of watching this video and running around like headless chickens because this is something that strikes at the heart of LLT. They're in for a long sleepless night. Lets be clear, I have never in the past or will in the future rely on LLT for PC hardware reviews, that honour will go to GN, because they're like the Financial Times to LLT's Local rag

Unfortunately, I know what SHOULD happen and what WILL happen now. What should happen is the LLT acknowledges these problems, and produce a video of a mea culpa and say we'll do better. But that's not going to happen, I've been watching LLT for a long while now and know how Linus is going to respond. He's going to double down and do mental summersaults to explain away why these videos, saying they don't matter in the grand scheme of things. Or try to refute a lot of these claims.

What happened to Billet Labs is absolutely disgusting. I frankly hope Billet Labs seeks compensation from LLT, even if that means taking legal action. For me, this is probably the worst thing Linus did in this video and it's left me with a nasty taste in the mouth. I have always got this vibe that Linus is a nasty individual under the clowning personality as shown in his videos. And no matter how much they deny it, you can tell by the look in their eyes and false smiles how scared the workers at LLT are to speak up against Linus in any way.

I hope Linus responds graciously to this for his sake, if he responds in any other way it'll damage his brand badly

LTT has been utter trash for a long time. I sometimes used to watch the wan show just as it was on live when I'd get up on a Saturday, so sometimes interesting background noise. His head his so far up his rear end, it's unreal. You had Luke who'd sometimes try and bring him back down to earth, but it's too late for that.
This video was utterly damning, and rightfully so.

Edit: You know his response will be utterly BS.

One of his worst takes recently was when he said anyone using Ad Blockers are pirates. He was just butt-hurt he can't make revenue off of me. It was at that point my opinion of him started to change. I'm going to do one better now and install a chrome extension to remove the in video sponsor ads too.

Watch the GN video at the point he include the LMG employee interviews ; they all say the same thing, its about cranking out content (25+ videos a week) with as little time as possible and no chance to reflect on what has been shoved out of the door. Im also seeing a very very high staff turnover
