**Mafia 2 Benchmark thread**

A decent comparison between physx effects off, medium and high, let's see the CPU do blood physx.:p

lol why do game companies keep on selling out to this nvidia drivel, the graphics really aren't all that and the physx effects could so obviously be rendered by any half decent system :o

I just ran with my 5770 + [email protected] at 1920x1200, no vsync, no AA, medium geometry and medium shadows - 7/47/200 (min/avg/max). I tried cranking it up - turning on AA, high geometry and shadows - 12/46/200! CPU bound?

Gotta go to work...and try my GTX 275 :)

I just tried it on my GTX 275 with work machine in sig (8 cores / 16 threads at 2.4GHz) with the same settings and it's worse! 5/38/100. I dare not turn PhysX on...

Everything on max, no AA no PhysX.

Anyone who's played Red Faction Guerilla will know how poor the physics are in the game and pretty much any game which uses physx.

I don't care how computationally intensive it is, as long as it doesn't form an integral part of the game, it's rubbish.

Yep, still busted on my hybrid setup. Might work for vanilla Nvidia setups but not hybrid.

That's why I;m so interested in anybody else with a hybrid setup.

Hi Greebo,

Afaik you need to install modded drivers after each PhysX update. 1.04ff, is it?

Thank you Raven for that link provided, will try medium PhysX in a minute.

This game looks stunning and the physx effects really do add to the overall look and feel of the game. I really am impressed.

I am now off to find the best preorder deal. :)

Hiya fellas. How do I take a picture of my benchmark results? Like above?

print screen then copy into paint, ideally resize it, save it, upload it using imageshack, click into it, right click the image, select copy image url, go back here, click on the button which has the mountains and a square in it, paste there and you're done
